Sex after 6 weeks with stitches?

I am now on 5 weeks after my circumcision. It feels normal but i do still have a small line of stitches on the side. They are very small and under the head so i am not sure they would even toch my girl if i did. But i am planning on having sex next week for the first time. That should be fine right? Even with these stitches?

General consensus is that the stitches have done their job by week 3. If you have any way, it would probably be a good idea to get them removed so that they don't exacerbate scarring or result in stitch tunnels.

Have you tried soaking in salt bath to dissolve stitches ?

If they not disolveable you should probably have them removed.

For your first time, use plenty of lube and take it easy. A condom may help but be careful when removing.

Stitches are absorbed by body tissue enzymes and won’t dissolve merely by getting wet so bathing will have no effect. After five weeks the stitches are likely to be barely attached to the skin surface.

Only you know whether you’re ready or not, if the stitches aren’t going to cause problems then go ahead gently as the wound will have closed. However it might still be weak so be careful.

Salt baths where advised by Health professional and mine where gone in couple of weeks with no problems.

How the salt baths helped I don't know. But help they did.

The salt bath imitate commercial 'saline' which is used in healthcare. It helps cleaning the wound and keep it warm if the bath is near 37 °C. Saline has 0,9% salt. It's similar than our cells has salt. It may help swelling by diffusion.

Like User1957 said your own interstitial fluid dissolved the sutures quite fast. Lucky you.

I cut mine out after 2 weeks as they will leave holes and scars on the skin
