Circumcision stitches - how soon do they dissolve?

I had my circumcision done last saturday so im on day 8. Tonight i noticed in my underwear a stitch had come lose and fallen out. Im not sure if its fallen out naturally as it should or its been caught somehow.

Is it anything i need to get checked?see the photo below of where it should have been, its scabbed over in that area as had bled a few days prior, the other stitches seem quite lose too and night erections have been constant tugging on stitches no doubt havent helped but what can you do...

Normally stitches are dissolving anywhere between 7 and 20 days - for most guys, they seem to mostly go away at about the two week mark. I had lost a few after 10 days and my urologist went ahead and removed the rest at my 2 week follow up.

Thanks. I still probably have 3/4 of mine still in at day 12, he told me to return for a follow up at 5 weeks

Bleh - that's not much help. Hopefully you won't have any after 10 or so more days. The damn stitches were the second worst part of healing (night time erections in the first week were the worst).

Couldnt agree more. I think the erections and also the fact moving in your sleep seems to catch scabs or any healing

im on my 10th day and i noticed the stitches are about to fall off. about me there are three worst parts qbout circumcision

1. sleeping position

2. removing the damn gauze

3. morning erections till it heals completely

I have been using bettmed oxygen spray to clean it worked like a charm no wiping just air dry and i"m almost healed sensitivity also gone now day 15

Day 20 and stitches are still in place, one or teo have come loose but only two have fallen out. Is it still ok for them to be in at the 3 week mark?

I am at day 29 and still have all the stitches doctor said could take 6weeks

My non dissolving stitches took 8-11 days to fall out.

Im at day 7 and one came out. No blood. It broke. Maybe during midnight erection. Should I be worried?

I would not worry at all especially if no blood. If it was on day 2 or 3 that the stitches came out I might be worried. Midnight erections are the worst. I used to put a cooler with an ice pack next to my bed so when I woke up I grabbed the ice pack and put it on my penis to make the erection go down instantly (also helped with pain). My doctor also said not to worry about midnight erections breaking sutures.

They told me 7-14 days, but the last 2 came out on day 42 😣

Day 11 and most of mine fell out except for about 3,, still tender,,, I cut a few of the sutures that we’re getting caught

Same condition to me , but doctors said it's part of healing process
