Small cuts on foreskin

Hi,

Since I was 21 I’ve had issues with my foreskin, sexually active the problem occurs randomly.

Small cuts on my foreskin make it sore to retract my foreskin.

I’m very careful and clean regularly but it still happens.

My problem is I try to leave it alone to heal but when I shower and wash any rubbing to clean or retracting my foreskin it will open the cuts again.

Any ideas or help?

Been to doctors twice and both times got steroid cream which helps and soothes but this time I’m using the cream but cuts aren’t healing quickly? Anything to speed up the process?

Have been checked to see if you have diabetes if you haven't ask your doctor for a blood test.

Hi, those little cuts can be very sore and painful it can be difficult to get rid of especially if you are diabetic. it will be important to take a break from any activity which would make it worse also did you get checked for a fungal infection if it was a yeast infection steroid creams wouldn't be advisable. You should go back to your doctor for further tests. the problem with getting those little cuts they scar the foreskin and make it even easier for them to happen again and again in the long term if you can't get on top of it you may need to consider having a circumcision. if it continues you should return to your doctor and explain to him what is happening.

Do the cuts appear at the end of your foreskin or all over it?

End just small cuts, when o retract to clean it in the shower they stretch and reopen and bleed

You may be able to consider just having to have the end of your foreskin removed to resolve your problem. Something else to talk to your doc about.

Problem around this is I’m diabetic, cuts and wounds take ages to heal and I don’t know how I’d cope with a lengthy time not knowing what the end outcome would be

This will need to be something you discuss with your doctor and/or a consultant.

I like this idea. Removing the phimotic ring may well resolve your problem. Definitely worth talking to your GP.
