foreskin problem

I have diabetes, but the doctor says this is not related, I keep having a split foreskin, usually in the same place, I have Betnovate cream but this only gives small relief and soon gets wiped off, as soon as I try and wash it or pull back the foreskin for any reason it splits again, the foreskin is always tight, so that doesn't help.

I have not got a fungal infection, the skin just splits on its own, even when barely touched

I tried using topical steroids, and they helped a little, but made the skin weaker and prone to cuts. If used too long, they can cause a very unpleasant rebound effect, resulting in itching and peeling for months, even years. Circumcision solved the problem completely, and the sex is better too!

Hi, has your doctor assessed you for lichen sclerosus do you have any white discoloration to your foreskin?

never heard of it, no white discolouration

Hey, that's good if you don't have any discoloration more than likely it's not LS then or bxo something is causing it though you should consult your doctor or urologist again and maybe consider circumcision if it doesn't improve.

As I recollect, long-term use of betnovate carries a risk and is advised against. Patient leaflet should give details.
