based on my experience I have found group meetings to be very helpful. Surrounding myself with like minded people is comforting. Especially, with a stigmatized brain disease like MDD. DBSA and NAMI I have found success with finding good support groups. There are lots of telehealth group meetings too now which makes it more convenient.
I most definitely get where your at, I am in the same boat the issue I see myself having is I don't want friends either, but I want someone/people to talk to... I don't know if that is the depression or the anxiety talking.
Hi. Keep in good contact with the friends you have as it gets harder to make new friends as you get older. Maybe try to join a group that does something you enjoy or want to learn. You can start a group too.
