While you may feel inextricably tangled up with December right now, it's an unavoidable fact that January is very much on the way!

It may still be chilly and dark, it may be hard to imagine life beyond the festive holidays, but I feel sure that some of you will already have entries in your calendar, ready to kick off the New Year as you mean to go on. What better way is there to start the New Year than by picking up a much coveted piece of bling!

So, if you have a race booked (or many), we'd love to hear all about it so we can give you a pompom cheer ahead of the big day. Any distance, any location, any country. It all counts.

There are NO impostors here, we are ready to cheer each and every member of this lovely forum.

Please tell us the name of the event, the date and give us a link to the race website if possible. We’ll enter all of this on the attached spreadsheet and just before the race, we'll arrange to send you on your way with a huge pompom cheer from your VRBs 🥳

There's nothing quite like our mighty posse of HU VRBs cheering you and supporting you every step of the way.; so let us know about your event in the comments below.

We look forward to seeing what you have planned to start the new year, and we'd love to see your post race photos and read your race reports once you've smashed it out of the park!

[TailChaser Marathon]

Just the one Linda for Katnap and me! Shocking I know 🤣 Gotta be the sausages - 19th January for the 4th Winter Series 10k. We do have a Fordy Extreme parkrun on 11th if that counts? A day trip to Tramore Valley parkrun in Cork, Ireland. Flying out of Stansted at 5.55am and returning at 9.45pm 😵‍💫

Number four already, sounds like winter is flying by! That is pretty extreme parkrun tourism TC ... what a shame you dont get to see Cork as well 🤔😄

We may well. There is quite a lot of the day remaining.

I know! 60% done is always quite satisfying as we get to see what colour the hoody is next race.

[Shake-and-run Half Marathon]

Nothing entered for Jan but on the waiting list for the sausage run on the 19th Jan if spaces become available. The 18th Jan should be a fun morning as it is planned to be my 100th Parkrun. TailChaser and I have volunteered to tailwalk so there will be plenty of scope for silliness and balloons. We are hoping some of our Health Unlocked buddies will join us in person. So if you fancy a trip to Stratford upon Avon put it in your diary.

stubbingtongreenrunners.net... is my race on Sunday 12th, my 1st time !

It's so popular it sells out in 1 day! Kenny set the alarm for 5.50am to enter !

Lots from our club going . I'm not very fit but going to try and go to enjoy, you get a long sleeve training top as souvenir! Xxx
