Week 4 HMP done

Well the forecast was right regarding the rain! 10 miles in a constant downpour yesterday and once I got over the initial getting out the door bit, I really enjoyed it. I did the same route as the 14 mile LSR last week but it felt easier this week probably because it was cooler and was 4 miles shorter. Off to see the sports massage lady tomorrow as I have glute and hamstring pain since interval training last Tuesday and I want to nip it in the bud before it turns into an injury. Regular sports massages are definitely making a difference this time round, even though they do hurt soooo much. Photo is of my 10 year old Labrador who used to be my running buddy but these days can only manage shorter strolls.

What a lovely looking running route Aldlib, so green and lush, just perfect for your run. I do envy you running in the rain - everything looks pretty parched here in the SW at the moment, although it’s meant to be wet today which will help. 🤞

I love your dog! ❤️ Labs are the best. Mine is a 7 year old yellow one who accompanies me each week at PR and (off the lead only) on longer ones if the weather isn’t too hot. Fantastic running buddies. 😀

These training runs certainly tighten the muscles. Mine are taut as a bow - though rollering and yoga help. And we had the downpour this morning so one very wet runner here. Love the pic
