HHM Training - Week 6 Day 1

Indoor: 15 minute Recovery Run.

I was going to skip this run today in favour of doing the 45 minute recovery run that I'm due to do tomorrow, as I took an extra rest day yesterday in the hope it would help my groin, which I now believe is a sports hernia. I"m glad I didn't skip it as I really need these shorter runs to get my head back into running and when you're training to run a half marathon, somehow a 15 minute run feels like a luxury that I don't want to miss out on.

This week is going to be tough: I have hill workouts and a long speed workout (the day after my 8 mile run - that ain't happening without a rest day). The 8mile run will be a challenge but I have done that distance before. So we will see how my body and mind holds up this week.

I’ve not completed last week’s runs yet as I’m lumbered with elderly dogs Got one intervals run still to do before moving on.

I really enjoyed the Hilly, hillier, hilliest! Great coaching 🙂
