Nose bleeds.....

I have started having nose bleeds during a flare.

Is this normal?

I get a pain in the back of my nose and then it bleeds.

Usually during one of my terrible headaches.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Purple-lou. Do you have high blood pressure? I kept having really painful headaches saw my GP about them and blood pressure was through the roof. I didnt have nose bleeds but pressure in the top of my nose. Since ive been on medication headaches have improved tenfold. Might be worth mentioning to your GP. Take care x

Hello Purple

As a teen I was one of those kids who had a lot of nose bleeds in hot weather, very handy at school as I could tap my nose and start a gusher at whim. - got me out of many a lesson or PE class.

It still happens now and then - again usually in hot weather, or if I am having headaches, this is in the form of a particular soreness and I can have a few consecutive days of waking with blood-clots in my nose.

I am meant to take Aspirin for my ANA, but very often dont as this makes the nose bleeds far more common.

I have consistanty lowish blood pressure.
