Hi Lynne5 ,

Oral and nasal ulcers are a common symptom of lupus. Have you been diagnosed with lupus? Are you currently on any treatment for it?

We published an article a few years ago which collected people's tips for coping with mouth ulcers. You may find it helpful. You can read it at healthunlocked.com/lupusuk/...

Hi Paul, thank you for your reply, I haven't been diagnosed with lupus. I am going to the Drs again on Monday with these symptoms, up to now he hasn't been very helpful. Thank you for your link I'll check it out now.

Hi Lynne, the mouth and nasal ulcers are part of my many ailments at present including fatigue, pain and aching joints, headaches, light sensitivity, bowel problems and chest and spinal pains, I'm to see my rhematologists in next few weeks as my gp believes I have lupus and am in need of immunosuppressents. Do you have other symptoms to progress your case with your gp, if so keep a diary of what ailments crop up. Hope you get the cooperation from your gp that you deserve, all the best.

Thanks for your reply. I was diagnosed with polymyalgia rheumatica with temporal arteritis 12 years ago, so have problems with my muscles and headaches. I've been on steroids for 12 years. Like you I also suffer with bowel problems. I also have osteoarthritis. I am seeing a rheumatologist on Tuesday so hopefully will get some answers then

Thanks for your reply. I am seeing a rheumatologist Tuesday so hopefully will get some answers. Unfortunately my dr has not been very helpful with all these sores and has just been prescribing cream for my nose for the last 3 years.
