Hi Mandiee

I'm waiting for an endoscopy and my excellent GP says if I have swelling it will show, the thrush causes swelling so maybe, given the Lupus causes swelling too! My non medical logic thinks, if I have thrush at both ends it could also be in the middle!

Hopefully someone here has some more info that could be useful to us both.

Best wishes Seb

Hi Sebitha...I suffer dreadfully with Thrush. I am forever getting it in my mouth, under all my creasey bits(boobs etc) and also had bad fungus on my vocal cords.i also have to have endocopy's as I have stomache problems.I have always suspected it is inside me but can't seem to get any help on that one,I ask my doc for repeat prescription of fungal tablets and Daktarin an oral mouth get for it.I have never been tested for it(you would have thought i would have been ) Have found out for creasey bits if you wash and dry it well put Sudacream as a coating making sure to spread it out more so it is wider then the crease, this has now worked for me for a few months as I read on an american site, cream with Iron oxide in it kills of the spores and havent had to use my anti fungal cream for months.Hope this helps a bit Love and Light

Might want to check Heliocbacter as well.

Sometimes comes in pairs - thrush and Helicobacter.

Secondary transmission of Helicobacter is probable/common in Hospital / Care Facility / treatment center.

Both difficult to get on top of once started.

Avoid eating sugar as this increases/feeds the nasty.

Over The Counter Clotrimazole Vaginal Cream applied in corners of the mouth does stop reinfection (it likes to hide there) as does frequent use of new toothbrush or soaking toothbrush in rubbing alcohol after every use to kill the nasty.

I suffer regularly with vaginal thrush, I suspect now I may have oral thrush too... Painful tonsils open sores or ulcers and white flaky skin on the inside of my mouth, used all the usual, and gone through great lengths (and pain) to keep clean....and help out there would be appreciated. Bx
