I was just wondering if anyone can relate to wrist pain on pinkie side , redness and swelling ? No numbness or pins and needles . More painful at night and in the morning . Gotten worse over last 6 weeks or so . Not injuried it .
GP phone call suggested carpal tunnel and wear splint in bed 🛌 but I’m not convinced . What with me being a specialist Dr 👩⚕️ and all that 😂😉.
Thank you for reading and take care 😘

Believe me if it is a Carpal Tunnel problem…wearing a splint at night really does help control the compressed nerves …..for whatever reason they are playing up.
If a splint doesn’t help… …ask your GP if he can organise nerve conduction tests & that will confirm one way or the other.
Many here have had a Carpal Tunnel Decompression with great success.
Wow - your wrist looks very red and swollen. I wonder if your GP thinks that wearing the splint will help him diagnose this. If you aren’t better, he will then have to figure out what to do. Is that inflammatory arthritis that needs fast treatment? Lots of questions when your patient has underlying autoimmune disease. 😩
Good people here know about carpal tunnel and can tell you how it was handled.
ah thank you Kay you’re so kind . Struggling to be honest as slept already affected by headache 🤕. Got phone call with private Gp today and I’ll ask if he can refer to hand man 👨 for X-ray / ultra sound if he thinks it needs one . Take care angel xx
Oh my! This is all too reminiscent of my issues. You should see my hall closest Tiggywoos. I have splints for my wrist and fingers, compression sleeves for my elbow, knees, and wrist. And wraps for my back. I have a plethora of aids. And I'm not bragging. It's sad. If I could have my cell phone while working, I'd take a picture of my wrist and share it with you. It's the splitting image of yours.
You wrote about uctical vasculitis, I also have it, as well as similar symptoms only on the fingers or shins. The doctors did an MRI and talked about fluid accumulation and inflammation of the subcutaneous fat. They make blockades around the joint with hormones, this helps.
Thank you so much for your reply . I also don’t get the typical rash across the cheeks .. I did once but not again . Glad they did mri for you as best way to see inflammation xx
