Hello everyoneJust thought i'd post these two late lambs to hopefully help keep your spirits going whilst we turn our clocks back!!. These cuties are from Poll Dorset Ewes which can breed out of season. October is a busy month with them coming.
Hope you like them and your all keeping as well as possible.
MistyX
P.s, had a great appointment with my Pain Consultant who is putting me on her treatment list for my leg injections on the 18/12. I got the last slot. Also, she's very happy to tell my gp i can have the lidocaine patches prescribed. That's a big relief too. Thank you all for your offers of spare ones and all your support. Really do appreciate it all. Xx

Thank you cecily, glad you like them. I'm so sorry your pain specialist turned into a horror by changing her mind as to your care. How did your next appt go as you were giving her one last chance?. Better i hope. When i met my new one for first time it was tough , she wanted to change my treatment radically which didnt work. She changed her attitude when i added more health problems and now she's so helpful and i'm truly grateful.
I had to postpone my appointment Misty. My surgery is being awkward about the measelu 5 mg morphine. They would only give me enough to my appointment date so now I have only a few left. The idiocy when I was the one who wanted to reduce my morphine and got mysekf from 15 mg twice daily down to 5 mg before I changed to Taroentadol. I spent 12 1/2 hours in A&E and the Doctor there said my pain was not under control and she was recommending at least 10 mg twice daily with two Cocodamol.. I feel very despondent about it all but I see the Consultant on 7 th and I will give her another chance. I hope it turns out as well as it did for you .
I'm sorry cecily that you had to postpone that appt and had an awful trip to A&E. You did so well in reducing the dose down as its not easy. So awful the way it worked out. π€ for your next appt and that the consultant is much nicer to you and willing to do those injections. I do feel very grateful that mine is so willing to help now. When i first met her, it was really difficult as she wanted to change everything and i really struggled but persevered with her and she changed back to my original treatment. This was achieved over several years, its not done quickly!.
I hope you enjoyed Spooky Strictly and the right one did leave didn't she?. Hope your enjoying All Creatures Great and Small too.
Good luck for your appt and take care. Xxππππ€ππππ€ππππ€
P.s, may have foot op news soon but gallbladder op not till next year. Pain is tough, thanx for asking. Xx
Thank you so much. This new Consultant is private so I am willing to let her try and control my pain and and do the initial nerve blockers . If they work I will ask her to refer me to a pain clinic and possibly a Neurologist.
I do hope you have the news you need about your foot at least. I think if we have one part of us healed or improved, it makes a huge difference to our ability to cope.
I loved Strictly. My two favourites of the night were Angela and Carlos and Nigel and Katya. Definitely the right person left. Yes I love All Creatures too, such a gentle, carefree programme with heart.
Keep us updated with news about your foot and take care l lots of love xxx
Thank you cecily, for your lovely message. I really do hope your appt gives you everything you need , π€. I do so agree with you that getting one painful part sorted does give some respite to cope with the rest. Also, psychologically its important to feel we're making progress!. Yes, Nigel and Angela S were very good on Sat. Its going to be tough once again in the later rounds.
Let me know how you get on at next 'cutie pic' cecily and i'll update as and when i hear anything. There seems to be a push to get the longest waits seen now here in South West which includes me. π€.
Keep as dry as you can, a storm is brewing i think and enjoy Strictly. Its going fast. Xxππππ€ππππ€
Arenβt they a sight for sore eyes? So lovely!!π Just what I needed to brighten my week. Thank you Misty. ππ»
SO very pleased to hear what a positive outcome youβve had from your Pain Consultant! Things are at last beginning to look up for you Misty and I hope they continue that way. π€ Youβve had such a long and difficult time of it. Onwards and upwards.ππ» Love and hugs xxxx
Thank you spotty for your lovely message. I thought we would all benefit from a 'cutie' having to change the clocks. I don't like this end of the year for a lot of reasons. I'm very lucky to have such a supportive consultant who advocates for me as she recognises i'm having to cope with a lot of pain and how it affects your day to day life. How are you doing spotty?. Have you heard from the Oral health dept yet?. I do hope you do soon, its shocking how they're delaying so much!. Hope you didnt have a UTI and your cold is a lot better.
Thank you too for the lovely enclosures you sent as well. We definitely need more positive news at the moment don't we?. I did enjoy them and know friends who will too.
I'm not sure if you got my email again last week as i wished you well for UTI results on monday and said i was thinking of you. I wouldn't be surprised if its happened again.
Hope your having a nice weekend and your feeling better. Xxπππ€ππ₯°π€
I did indeed receive your e-mail last week Misty and apologise for not answering sooner. It has been a hectic and emotional week one way and another as Iβve explained in an e-mail Iβve just sent to you. About to take my 2nd reduced dose of MTX injection this evening. So fingers crossed it doesnβt produce the same nasty side-effects I had after the 2nd injection last month of the higher dose. π€ I SO want to come off these steroids but canβt until the MTX kicks in if I manage to tolerate it this time.ππ»
Take care dear Misty and thanks again for the lovely uplifting Cutie post. Off to get my jab now. ππ€πxxx
Thats ok spotty, i'm not chasing you, i just wondered if the email was up the creek again!. I'm sorry things have been tough and will keep my π€that you tolerate the 2nd lowest mtx jab better this time. Big moment!. Take care. Xxππππ€ππππ€πππ
Thanks for your kind wishes Misty. Iβm actually on the 2nd lowest MTX dose (10mg) because Rheumy didnβt think the lowest (7.5mg) would be enough to tackle this on-going stubborn flare. So fingers crossed I tolerate it better than the 15mg. π€ So far so good, but Iβll know better by Tuesday/Wednesday whether any side effects are going to occur. Take care and wishing you a speedy relief of the pain once you have the Lidocaine patched back on prescription. ππ» xxx
Thank you spotty for your kind wishes. I'll keep my π€for you as it sounds promising at last and will be in touch later in the week. Xxππππ€
Awww arenβt they cute, wouldnβt expect to see lambs this time of year so thatβs a bit special π₯°
Glad all went well with the pain clinic lovely, a far cry from my appointment which was awful and no help whatsoever, Iβve been all around the houses for seven months just to be told I need physio which I knew all along and was asking for , they donβt give medication for pain and offer no alternatives and wonβt inject my spine because itβs a one off and doesnβt last long and can cause a flare in people with CTDβs , no follow up appointment after physio to see how Iβm getting on, he didnβt have my spine MRI images to look at, didnβt examine me, didnβt have the full report with the addendum added after I asked them to look at my scan again after they missed noting the Tarlov cysts in S2/3 and then he said β I canβt tell you the cause of your back painβ β¦ my pain correlates with the findings of the MRI, so it made no sense to me! π this is MSK who are outsourced and Iβve found over the years do as little as possible to help, Iβm not the only one in my area to have experienced this with them!
Anyway shallnβt go on about it as I feel annoyed at their lack of care and interest π€¦ββοΈ and your cutie pic is cheerful and lovely and Iβm just glad youβve got your appointment booked, fingers crossed they donβt move it π€π€π€π€
Take care lovely π₯°β€οΈπππΊπ» π πxx
Lovely to hear from you EDD and glad you liked the lambs. No, We certainly don't expect them at this time of year which is why i posted them. I wish it was Spring and not the winter we're facing. Oh Dianne, i'm so sorry at your awful experience at the Pain Clinic. That was a shocking consultation not having your MRI resukts or the info added about those cysts!!. His attitude sounded blunt and horrible and no help with pain relief or willingness to help as they won't inject spines. They have cut right back on this now to save money leaving so many in agony. Backs are notoriously difficult as how they're regarded by different dr's. So is he referring you to physio?.
I'm so very sorry and feel very grateful about the treatment i have access to. Good luck lovely for your impirtant appt's this week. π€they will be better. Couldn't be much worse could they?. I'll be thinking of you. Big hugs(wish i could do it in person). Xxπ€ππππππππΊπ€π
Bless you thank you for the hugs lovelyπ₯° Iβm going back to my GPβs physio, he was the one who referred me to who I thought was a consultant but turned out it was MSK advanced physio, he was very nice but even he said to me βto be quite honest I donβt think thereβs anything we can do for youβ which took me by surprise! Itβs not what you want to hear when you need help is it π€¦ββοΈ anyway the only good thing is that I had an MRI of my whole spine so at least I know whatβs going on with it and my physio will now. Iβll make an appointment soon. He did refer me to their hip physio but I donβt hold out much hope with that either, last time I saw a physio there for my hip he told me it wasnβt bursitis and to walk through the pain, well it was bursitis and I couldnβt walk through the pain ! My GP always feels it when he injects it and says heβs never known a bursa to be so βboggyβ β¦ well itβll be interesting, maybe theyβll order another MRI so we can really see whatβs going on with my hip to. Hey ho we muddle through somehow donβt we ?π
I hope youβre feeling a bit better from the jab todayβ¦ we live in hope π€virtual hugs back my lovelyβ€οΈπππxxxx
I'm so sorry also your flaring EDD but it isn't surprising with all your having to cope with. No, it certainly isn't what we want to hear from a health professional saying he can't help!!. Such a horrid shock for you. I'm glad you can go to your gp physio , lets hope he can help better!. Mum went to ours for her hip and knee and he was really good so π€ for you. I do think attitudes have really changed in the nhs at the mo and because waits are long , if your a difficult case or not easy to diagnose they don't want to know and you become a parcel going from one dept to another!!.
I'm just so grateful when i hear these horror stories that my leg nerve injury is straightforward and treatable. Bursitis is straightforward. At least with hip thats the Orthapods who are usually very positive. Its good you've got a full MRI of your spine as you say. Do hope these next two appt's are better for you. Keeping my π€. Xxπππ€
Its very possible EDD, that your flu and covid jab is contributing /causing to your flare. I feel really awful after my covid one still . Something to ask your Rheumy on thursday. Its more well known now that jabs can cause flares!. Thinking of you lots. Xxππ
So glad ge you liked the lambs. Thank you for your lovely mesdage. I'm very grateful that i do have such a good pain consultant in view of a lot of people's awful experiences on forum. Also, as its an ongoing problem that i have . Your so right that a good doctor makes all the difference. How are you ge?. Hope your long covid symptoms are improving. I read recently that 1 in 20 people are affected in UK by long covid. Thats quite a lot of you really sadly.
Iβm not doing too badly misty. Have learned to take things easy and rest when needed. I got a pneumococcal vaccine, at my consultants request, as my antibodies were low. Bloods were then taken again six weeks later. My antibodies were still low. Had to get another, different, vaccine. Bloods being taken again next week so hopefully my antibodies are normal now. Xxβ€οΈπ
Keeping π€for you ge and your antibody bloods. Its so important that they're better. Glad you've had the pneumonia jab. I look forward to knowing your results at next 'cutie pic' ge. Take care Xxππππ€ππππ€
Beautiful picture MistyππGlad that you are getting more help, with a great pain specialist πHope they find the very best solution quicklyπ xx
Thank you Striated , glad you like the lambs. Thats a very kind message but its for ongoing treatment as they've found the best way to treat my leg nerve damage luckily so can keep repeating it. Its getting relief for longer and longer but its taken a long time to reach this stage working with the consultant. I hope you've made progress getting the help and treatment you need. Take care. Xxππππ€ππππ€ππππ€ππ
Thank you striated for showing me this interesting video. Its really good when these awful experiences happen to journalists as they can publicise them better than us, Rory Cellan Jones was a BBC journalist. It reaΔΊly also made me think how difficult it is for us having to cope with this new, hardened, broken NHS on a daily basis with chronic illness. What i've learnt over the years is how different hospitals can be despite being under the same NHS umbrella, it depends how they're individually run so some are coping better than others. We have to hope that we've got a good hospital locally!. This proves that good ones can still be overwhelmed. The worry is how understaffed A&E's are and how busy is it going to be when we have need of them. Mistakes though are made so we have to be vigilant for ourselves and our loved ones!. Its frightening if we think about it too much. Take care. Xx
Thats a good idea Striated if you both can cope with the move. Brill to be near better hospitals and have help with caring for your mum. Xxπππ
Loved the little lambs. So glad to hear that you have found a very supportive pain consultant. It is definitely a step in the right direction. I am seeing a new neurologist this week for a second opinion on the hallucinations. I could have just continued to deal with them, but my primary care doctor is adamant that I get another opinion. I am feeling doctored out to tell the truth and really feel there are no anwers. But it is obvious, he cares so I will follow through. I saw the ENT doctor this week and the hole from the surgery didn't heal all the way, but the ear is functioning well enough at the moment and doesn't want to pursue anything else at the moment.
Thank you dear Pumpkin for your lovely mesdage. So glad you liked the lambs. I'm so pleased your seeing a different neuro this week for the hallucinations. Your gp is right that you need this second opinion on them. They should be investigated and different consultants can have different attitudes about these things. Hopefully this one will be a πfor you. Its what you deserve. I'll keep π€and do let me know how you get on. Hope the weather isn't too stormy where you are and sending lots of healing thoughtwaves to you too. Xxπππ
Those faces are so cute and open to experience that you want to try to talk to them. It is such an uplift to be exposed to beautiful little animals in their natural environment.
I bet Lino would like them. He takes the lambβs wool out of my shoes to play with it.
Hi Misty what a cute pic of the late lambs - glad that your appointment went well with the pain consultant and hope you donβt have to wait long for the injection in your legs- things are all ok my end, the furry girls keep me sane xx
Sorry svfarmer for later reply. Thank you so much for your lovely mesdage.Lovely you liked the late lambs. You'll like my next one too!. π Glad all ok with you and the furry girls are looking after you too. Just being able to take the dogs for a walk for a break can be so helpful. Our lives are much more stressful now aren't they?. Hopefully if my injections go ahead it will be 18/12. ,i was so lucky getting the last slot. Its tough having strong pain in 3 places so one being helped will be very welcome.
