Hi I don't know if any of you remember that a few weeks ago I had a biopsy done for skin cancer. Today got my results back and it is all clear. I just had that feeling that I didn't have it, but It did mean that I got rid of the mole and wart growing on it.

glad to hear no cancer found, happy days you’ve got mole and wart removed 😁

Hi Cal

Thats great news, I hope you feel a weight lifted now you’ve the all clear - as even if you think you’ll be ok, there’s still a nagging doubt until you know for sure. Hope your new mole-free area heals quickly too. ✨

So glad you had good news πŸ€—

Im at dermatology next week about a mole on my back , I went to gp about a different skin issue and she was concerned about a mole she spotted πŸ™. 🀞🏻im as lucky as you , waiting for biopsy results is the worst i think .

HiGood luck next week. It took 4 weeks to get my results, so I took that as been a good sign, because if it had been cancer i think that I would have heard sooner. I hope that you are as lucky as I have been, my consultant was convinced that I had cancer. Please let us know how you get on when you see the hospital.

Thank you ❀️. Im keeping calm , i had a lumpectomy 2 years ago , all good so far after that . I did get biopsy results quickly after that so hopefully if do one this time it will take a while πŸ™πŸΌ

Hi Cal , just updating you . I was at the hospital today and they are going to remove my mole , the consultant wasn’t overly concerned but thinks it could develop into something in the future. I should be getting it removed in next 3 weeks and will have to wait up to 6 for biopsy results. Its on my upper back and it will need a few stitches, hopefully not to sore πŸ˜•. Its hard to keep a check on these things as i can’t really see it !!!

Hope you’re healing up well, best wishes 😊.

Sorry to hear that you are also having to have a biopsy. I hope that it goes well. I had to wait 5 weeks for my results, which is what stresses you out, I hope that you also get the all clear as I did. My consultant was convinced that mine was cancer as he kept asking me if I ever had skin cancer before. I am lucky as my mum or sister keeps a close watch on them as I have hundreds of moles on my back & now on face, temple which is where I had my biopsy and is affecting my eye, causing me pain.Good luck and keep us posted

It must have been a relief get the all clear , I hope it heals soon, not a nice place to have a biopsy. My Mum had a mole removed on her face and need a skin graft, the graft removal site took longer to heal than the graft .

Doctor was very positive so i will hold on to that. Take care πŸ€—

There is not too much to see as he cut it into a crease and he was a plastic surgeon, so I have been very lucky to have been referred to him. My problem now is that I am going through either RA or a lupus flare at the moment. Enough about me, good luck for your biopsy.

Thank you, for your kind wishes.

Sometimes the stress and worry of something like this can bring on a flare, rest up and feel better soon πŸ€—

I rang my rheumatologist for an urgent appointment & saw him on Monday. Had a depo injection and bloods done, so just waiting for it to kick in. My rheumatologist also told me to by a face sun cream called sunsense 50, and just waiting for delivery now and I hope that your biopsy goes well.

Thanks Cal , I hope the depo works, i have great relief from them in past.

I just got my appointment today, its on the 3rd of July, be glad to get it done, i had to delay it as im going to visit my son for a week.

I hope you are surviving in this hot weather, i have a bit of a rash on my arms , aloe vera is helping. I love the heat but the humidity is exhausting πŸ˜“πŸ˜“

HiWe are more fortunate in NE we live on the coast so it's a bonus when we get good weather. I have bought a hat of amazon which filters uva and keeps sun of my face and neck. My rheumatologist advised me to buy Sun Sense factor 50 for my face and use factor 50 in rest of my body. I hope that any of these things will help you, also, I like to use always Vera gel for most things especially good on scalds and burns from hot cheese

weathervane profile image
weathervaneβ€’ in reply toCal66

Thanks for the advice , im up there with the suncream, but i hate wearing hats , make my head too hot πŸ₯΅

Im also a fan of aloe vera, but i think you should stay away from hot cheese πŸ˜†. X

I'm a little more careful now, but because I the aloa Vera on straight away there was no blisters. The sun hat is made of cotton and folds up, I always wear a straw hat, but because i have just had a surgical biopsy on my face, the consultant was 100% sure it was skin cancer, luckily i have been given the all clear, so i bought this hat of amazon, which protects me all around a lot more than a straw hat.

Hi Cal , i had the biopsy this morning, had to go down 2 cm , its not sore at the moment but that because its still numb 🀣. I was told it will be 6 weeks before i get the results, a long wait!! The nurses were lovely and the doctor explained everything as she was doing the surgery. Its good to get it over with, but i would love the results tomorrow πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. Hope you’re keeping ok and have had no problems since πŸ€—
