I am currently receiving standard PIP. Unfortunately following heart surgery I am now under care of heart failure team.

My mobility made worse by breathlessness.

I am on a waiting list for a different style of pacemaker

Can I now apply for enhanced PIP before my new re assessment date?

yes, the DWP state that if your situation improves or deteriorates then you should inform them for reassessment. I had this situation when my condition deteriorated and I was reassessed earlier than expected and got a higher rate.

yes you can let them know of changes ar any time. Doesnt matter if you are due for a reassessment or not. Give them as much detail as yoy can with how worse your condition has gotten. Any changes, no matter how insignificant you think it may be, still let them know.

Hi, you can ask at anytime for your award to be looked at again. You'll receive a new form to complete.. it's always worth remembering that they can also decrease your award. I would advise going to your local CAB or any welfare agency for help with your claim. It takes any stress off of you and it's something they deal with day in day out x
