I'm 59 and have had sle for 30 years - I knew this would happen before I turn 60 !

There is a consultation currently underway and the government are welcoming comments from the public. I will link the consultation here and within the consultation you can find the link to the questionnaire. I will be commenting!

Surely long term suffering of SLE qualifies for free scripts?

I’m also 59 and was made redundancy at Xmas due to Covid in fact the company closed completely. I won’t find work at my age especially in media sales and hubby’s police pension prevents any benefits. Doesn’t seem right to work and save your whole life to then be penalised for your forethought. With that thought in mind I’m spending all our savings on a new kitchen ha ha 🧑‍🍳

That’s the right idea…..if it’s going to happen anyway…don’t get too upset about it…enjoy your kitchen!

As long as the Annual Prescription option that can be paid for monthly is continued it should not be too onerous, for people still in employment.Hopefully though diseases that don’t qualify for free prescriptions at 60 now…will be considered fo inclusion at 66.

How lovely. I used to love trips to Barry and Cold Nap as a child. I haven’t been for years xx
