I had a letter last week from the nhs telling me to go for my third covid jab ,not a covid booster jab a thid jab ,and the reason for this is because i take immunosuppressant drugs ie (methotrexate) they wanted to give me another jab because they wasn't sure i had been given enough of the jab the first time so they where giving me a top up because of being on methotrexate that's the reason why i have been given a top up jab, then i will be called again for a booster soon, that's my understanding of what my third jab was for ,hope this helps.

The booster and third jab are same thing, just different names. Immune suppressed have third jab as we did not get full immunity and will then have a 4th in 6 months. Rest of nation are just boosting their immunity. This is what nurse told me when I had my third one.

I have also had my third dose and will be called for a booster in 26 weeks time. It is due to being immunocompromised. I have had two full dose prior to this.

Hope this helps.

I had a message from my GP with a link to an appointment. It wasn’t at my GP’s surgery it was at a town hall where you had to have an appt. Since I made the appt. I also had a message and letter from NHS.

Hope this helps.

You’ll get a letter from the NHS then you ring your GP , it lets them know you need it

This is the first I have heard of this. I have my booster next Friday and the Flu Jab. I will ask then.

The messaging regarding the booster and third jab are so confusing.

I viewed, via YouTube, which someone shared via here about vaccines and immunosuppressants hosted by an organisation called ZOE (can't remember the exact title of the discussion) but they also talked about it there. They said they are not the same thing. As in, two separate jabs. I hope I haven't misquoted them and if anyone watched it, please feel free to correct me.

If my understanding is correct, I've finally been invited for the booster via text message. No letter and no further info provided about eventually being called for a 3rd vaccine. Although, which one comes before the other. Is the third jab the booster jab?

Is it the egg before the chicken or the other way round?!
