Immunity after 3rd covid jab

After my 3rd covid jab (first two were AZ, third was Pfizer), within 2-3 weeks I’ve developed shingles followed by labyrinthitis causing dizziness! I’m feeling generally fragile! Has anyone else found they e become a magnet for viruses & bugs after the 3rd or booster covid vaccine?

Hi Ferhana, I was really interested in your post , I have had AZ for my first 2 jabs and wanted AZ for my 3rd primary , my own GP is only doing Pfizer and so I searched around for a hub that was offering AZ , eventually found one , went along did all the form filling , but when I got in the room for the jab , I was told I needed a letter from my Rheumatologist as they only give AZ in exceptional circs.I am due to see her next week so I will be asking for a letter , as I was ok with the first 2 and as I cant take certain meds and have reactions my choice is AZ.

Have to wait and see !!!!

Hope you feel better

Take care

Hi ferhana, sorry to hear your having a rubbish time at the moment. Shingles and labyrinthitis are not pleasant to have, hope you’re starting to feel better soon.I had AZ and then 3rd was Pfizer, fortunately I didn’t have any problem at all.

Yes but her question is if the A jab is responsible for her shingles and other symptoms. Does any one know? Very sorry for you. Blessings, Titters

Hi titters i guess the only one who would know that answer for sure is a doctor 🤷🏼‍♀️

Pardon. The third jab was Phizer.

That’s true Chris. But may be someone here has the answer. Or, a good reliable site on web with latest info on the third shot. I’m in the States, I’m not qualified to know adequate info for this question.

Yes, I have come across it before. Shingles is usually latent in your body, but after Covid jabs some people have seen reactivation of this. I would definitely report that on yellow card. There are a lot of times doctor do not want to connect these together as there is no evidence but there is no evidence because it does not get reported as potential side effect. Same as reactivation of PMR post Covid jabs. We have seen some people suffer worse than others.

It must be awful to have those side effects. So sorry. I have a friend who lost a hearing on one ear completely and labyrinthitis after the first Pfizer. She had to get on high dosage of Prednisolone. Her hearing is back after months but it is not perfect yet and doctors don't know if it will ever be back to normal. Hope you recover. Be patient and be kind to yourself and take your time in everything you do. Take care. x
