Thank you all for taking part as it was really hard judging all the great entries. My parents said how close you all were so looking forward to doing it again next month!.
The pic this week is a family of Polar Bears in Canada 's Wapusk National Park as Bears are Spotty's favourite animal. Im sure you'll all agree how cute the bear cubs are and i guess like them we should all keep our loved ones as close as we can this autumn/winter!.

P.s, thank you everyone for your wonderful support. Just to let you know im no nearer having a steroid jab!. I rang my Rheumy Dept and the consultant has been on leave. Back now and so he's seen the Podiatry Request for one. I've heard nothing and luckily go back to Podiatry in mid Oct no further forward!. Just got to keep 🐢. Xx

Indeed I’m overwhelmed by everybody’s congratulations and have ‘liked’ their lovely messages.🥰It is windy with the old spot of rain here today Misty. But we did go out in the garden to get some jobs done before heavy rain arrives over night and hangs around for a few days and the temps plummet about midweek. Very autumnal so I’m about to go and look out my fleece hats and gloves. ☹️

I knew you’d said before it would be monthly which is a great idea. No I meant the Strictly comp because there was no public voting this week so nobody had to leave. So the comp starts next week. I hope to get my podiatry appt thru this week. Im not holding out much hope of Rheumy agreeing to steroid injection. I think its too specialised but medical protocol dictated that he should be asked .

I didn’t really get any help from my GP. Prescribed me Duloxetine but it isn’t making a bit of difference. All it did was make me severely nauseous and upset my stomach. I stopped taking it after 5 days as I couldn’t go on like that. Don’t think it helped as it is for nerve pain and it is joint pain I have.
Fingers crossed you hear from rheumy. If not mid October isn’t too far away. Starts on Saturday.

I didnt get on with duloxitene either and your right its for nerve pain not joint pain. You certainly can't live with side effects like that either. Will you go back to her or soldier on as we're so good at doing?.

I’ve been soldiering on just now. Will probably phone next week. Although I stopped the medication after 5 days because of the side effects I feel I might get a bit further with my GP if I tell a white lie and say I took them for longer before stopping 🙈

No still no news about the car 😔Hubby and I are having adventures in the wheelchair!! We went for my blood test n it started raining as we left n the poured down all the way there n back again!! I was ok with waterproofs n umbrella but hubby got soaked!! 😹
Got flu jab on Thursday so we'll be heading out again..hopefully the weather will be a bit better 🤞🌈😽😽xx

Im giving up of ever having this steroid injection to be honest froggie. Im glad ill be going back to podiatry soon as he could do it!. Its more specialised for Rheumy and im cross at these wasted weeks!.
Lovely pic of the polar bears Helen 🥰😍 I think it’s a tough existence for them these days sadly.Let’s hope your rheumy can decide on something soon. I wish it was as easy for you as me getting my hip injected, luckily my GP can do it. It all went well and I’m now resting it. I hope you hear something this week 🤞🤞🤞.
After much chasing up and going round in circles I’ve managed to get a telephone appointment with my bowel surgeon next Friday, it’s such a relief not having to wait a long time for it so hopefully I will be able to move forward with one or other of the surgeries, just need my angio report too!
On a happier note, did you enjoy the dancing, I thought they were all very good for a first week and some exceptional ones for beginners, I’m looking forward to next week so I can vote 🗳
How frustrating about your steroid Misty as I’m sure it’s delaying how long you’re struggling for! The only thing I can think of when I look at that image is “mum! Mum! Mum!” 😖😂
Beautiful polar bears. My daughter has been learning about the environment at school and really taking an interest in telling me about polar bears!

It is never a waste of energy to care ❤️. Yes Strictly was amazing. I was so cross though as I thought Hugo was grossly under marked .Any predictions about who will leave?I think the woman from Dragons Den. Rose did so well . Just how she managed that performance without hearing the music is remarkable. I had a very bad fall on Tuesday, I crashed onto the coffee table then hit my head and shoulder on the wooden floor and cracked my poor knee on the table. Neil was out walking the boys. The shock was awful. When he came back he panicked and got my lifting cushion. He was shaking and trying to fit the hoses. I was yelling, he said where’s the pain? I said you are standing on my bloody hand. I had to laugh despite myself. I really am sore and black and blue but I am walking unaided now thank goodness. We are off out for dinner tomorrow to celebrate my 60 th Birthday ( I feel 160 ). I hope you get your injection lovely it is just such poor care xxx

I agree Sara could go and that would be a shame as she's a good sport and character. I like her on Dragons Den!. It was wonderful seeing the deaf girl's bond with Giovanni already and lovely their learning sign language for her!. She was a good dancer and I think will go far!. It is inspiring what you can overcome!.
Have you noticed cecily how Shirley Ballas the judge gets smarmy about the men and is nasty about the women sometimes and scores them low?. It was quite obvious sat night I thought!. Can't wait for weekend!.

Thank you so much Misty. I had a lovely day. Yes the fall was nasty. I hurt all over but especially my breast bone that I hit on the table but I will get there. I have an actually face to face appointment with the physio on 14 th October whoop whoop. The secretary said it is a face to face are you ok with that? I said look over the phone your physio told me to stand on one leg. If he had seen me he would know I am bloody lethal on two never mind trying to stand on one. She was laughing and told me between you and I , I think some of these youngsters don’t live in the real world. At least I have something to look forward to now.I love Rose being a big Eastenders fan. I was just blown away by how good she was. I dislike Shirley Ballas. She comes over as a letch making inappropriate comments and I agree she can be a real bitch. I don’t know if it is so,Ely females she picks on as I remember being incensed at the comments she made about Aston Merrygold which I am sure led to him going out far too soon. I just love Strictly. Some of the professional dancers are coming to a hotel about an hour from me. You can actually get to watch them dance and dance with them. Oh for these legs to work but they just won’t. Maybe next year …a girl can dream. Look after yourself lovely. I really hope you get your injection soon xxx
Oh Cecily, your news has made my day it really has and given me heart I might hear something!. That's fantastic to get a face to face appt with a physio at last. You've waited a long time and its been ridiculous they've stayed behind a phone so much during Covid!. Not long to go now either. It helps us keep going having these appts.
I'm glad its not just me whose noticed Shirley's ways. My mum doesn't like her either. Good point about Aston Merrygold, I definitely thought he'd been marked down and shouldn't have gone when he did!. Forgot him!. I love Strictly too and love its ethos that anyone can dance, its so empowering and such a happy show!.
Who knows, cecily after your appt you might be able to see the dancers at your local hotel and have a go!. Never say never!. Ha!. Think that is fab, what a treat, I'd love to see them. I was going to my local theatre with a friend to see Pasha's show but it was cancelled because our theatre went bust!!. A few years ago now and the friendship went bust too!!. Ha ha!!.

Oh what a shame. Rosemary and I are going to see Beauty and the Beast in the theatre in January, just perfect for the post Christmas blues and Neil and I are seeing The Lion King in July which has been cancelled twice. I am very excited for that one in particular. We need these treats to keep us going . I have pottery again tomorrow, I missed last week because of my fall.
