Sorry 'cutie pics' missed last week but i needed a break. Hopefully, its back with a bang with this grey seal pup on a nature reserve in Lincolnshire.
Between November and December the adults return to give birth and this year there were 968 fluffy new arrivals like this one. I do hope you agree they are cute!. I love seal pups as i love their faces.
With the news and weather being so difficult i thought we could all do with a good news story like this.

I had my pelvic x-ray done on Tuesday. Results will take at least two weeks 😞 Still suffering from really bad hip pain. My GP has prescribed Lidocaine pain patches and also medication for the ulcers I am getting. Hopefully everything will help what it’s meant too!
Thanx ge for your lovely message. Im glad you've had your hips xrayed as your in such a lot of pain. 🤞for the results. Any questions you may have re the lidocaine pain patches please ask as i use them regularly. They have helped my leg nerve pain so i hope they help you.
Ive got my podiatry appt tomorrow( mon). Ive got adrenal insufficiency so im waiting for an endocrinology appt to come thru. Shouldnt be too long as 3rd on waiting list and its an expanding dept.

Oh yes I loved, loved, loved Strictly. Best semi final ever. John and Jo Jo made me cry but Rose and Gio ‘s Argentine Tango gave me goosebumps. Omg it was amazing. Who do you think will leave? So gutted for anyone who does leave. Personally I think it will be Rhys. AJ’s dress was fabulous. I could not have enjoyed it more.No falls this week which is a bonus xxx

I don't feel very well at the mo because ive just had my flu jab and its bringing out a lot of adrenal symptoms . Hopefully it will improve but ive got to be so careful.
Then last nights message about vaccinating the nation has dampened my spirits re having appt's in Jan. Trouble is we just don't know what will happen over Xmas?.
Hopefully my podiatry appt tonight will be positive.

Im just watch results on strictly, Saturday was AMAZING, I’ve never seen the judges so excited 😆. Rose was wonderful yet again, what a tango !!! I was watching it by myself and i was clapping and cheering at the end 🤣🤣.

I LOVED Strictly on Sat, rose and gio's dances were so worthy of the final weren't they ?. Also, though they've never had so many 10's given out in the Semi's so they were all so close. Its a shame Rhys went but id have said that whoever it was. A.j did step up better. Can't wait for Final , what a treat in store!. Sad its ending though!. 😪.
My podiatry appt was a bit of reality about my foot. The steroid injection should have lasted longer 6-12 months ideally. He can't do another for 2 months at least and wondered about a steroid guided one from surgeon. Theres also an op but thats way in future because of wait!. He's writing to my pain consultant instead as she said my leg injections might help my foot as its all nerve.
Funnily enough i rang them earlier yesterday and im on the list provisionally for 14th Feb for leg. Don't think she can do both together, don't really know. Shes not really around till Jan now anyway and we just don't know about appts with this variant and mass vaccination now do we?. I was thinking of your Retuximab.

Thats awful you have to wait so long for another steroid injection 😕. Ive had guided injections in my hip and spine and they did work well as more targeted. The 14thof February is a long way away, 🤞🏻you might get a cancellation. Its hard to know what way hospital appointments are going to be with the rising numbers, its so worrying!!
Strictly is the only ray of light at the moment, roll on Saturday, I can’t wait!!!

Ive been pushed out to march thru a misunderstanding but have secured a tel appt with my pain consultant in jan 21st to talk about treating leg and foot. Don't know if they can be done together!. She will have had podiatry letter by then!.
Its something to hang onto and is more likely to happen as long as she doesnt get covid seriously!. Its really scary now whats happening isnt it?. Troubke is we just don't know what appts will go ahead or not and its very wearing isnt it?. Bet your worried about getting retuximab end dec?. We're rationing watching the news and what we do. I expect you both are too.
I too have had those guided steroid injections into hips very successfully but i chose not to pursue that because of my steroid risks due to adrenal problem. I need that appt now. At least ive got options of treatment for the future if needed.
I can't wait for Strictly either , it will be such a joy hopefully and emotional. I may well vote for 1st time because i want rose and gio to win!. Do you vote?. If they do win there won't be a dry eye in the ballroom or our lounge!. Ha!. 😀

I don't feel so confident about getting appt's now because of the bojo message last night. Hopefully be ok for podiatry one later. It doesnt help us waiting and wondering and we've had to do it for a long time now.

Podiatry was a reality phone call tonight but im getting lots of offers of help for this dastardly foot. Will keep you all posted.

I had GP catch up just now on phone re: repeat bloods that I had privately, because surgery could not do....sometimes reality does not match what makes sense, and I just end up feeling lost, and like I'm on another planet...

Hi Misty14, my foot surgery didn't go well and I ended up having a second surgery called revision which (fingers crossed) so far so good. The first one ended up with broken screw and bone, very painful so with second surgery Dr removed the 2 screws and put a plate and 2 smaller screws in different place for support and it's better as far as pain goes but always swollen and I have to keep the boot on except for showering and use a walker to keep as much pressure off of it as possible when walking and elevated when sitting. I've been sitting way too long as my butt hurts so using different pillows to help. My cat loves that I sit in recliner with blanket and pillows and feet up it makes for a very cozy napping spot, she gets annoyed when I need to get up...it's very disturbing to her. We finally have a cold rainy day and a reason to use the fireplace so both of girls are in front in their beds enjoying it. My dog is chihuahua and rat terrier mix that we adopted from the pound 14 years ago, she's so cute and spoiled, her name is Lucy and my cat was found outside by my son Ray who decided he needed to rescue her, she was a tough little one who wanted no part of people, he kept her in a room with food and water and the dreaded litter box and figured she'd come around sooner or later and she did but when he had to take her to be spayed she sprayed him 😆 so he showered and tried again and she sprayed him again 😆 so he went just the way he was all stinky and after all of that he thought I should have her...I didn't want another one as I just lost my Bailey girl to cancer but there she was. It took a while for both of us to warm up to each other but we did. My son named her after his favorite football team's mascot, Penn State college Nittany Lions, I really didn't like it but...the veterinarian loved it because it was different so Nittany it is. Sorry for going on so long. Thank you for asking about my surgery. I hope your feeling well and getting the help you need and of course trying to safe from the omicron Corona virus that won't stop. Im so sorry your foot surgery went so wrong and you had to have a revision olderkitten. You must be so fed up with it but im glad it seems better now. Long may that continue.
Its lovely reading stories like this and how you and your husband have developed this special bond now with your rescue dog nittany. Takes a long time doesnt it but so special that you both persevered with him. ?.
I bet over the years your husband has brought home some interesting animals being a vet.
Ive still got my trapped nerve in my foot after my surgery so im hoping for help from the pain clinic in jan with it. It is a nightmare for us being so curtailed, can you walk on yours yet?.
