Hi misty , hope you are keeping ok πŸ˜€.Did you know they used to put tiny pink glasses on chickens , google it as it is a bit ugh ☹️.

How are things with you at the moment, any progress? Im sitting watching a lovely blackbird out the window and drinking a cuppa , its having a big breakfast of seeds πŸ₯°

Hello WeathervaneThanks for your lovely message, it can be very controversial and awful how some chickens are kept!. I'm keeping to the lovely story to help lift spirits!.

Glad your watching the birds, its lovely how we are appreciating nature so much more. We found a lovely ,tiny ,neat nest in our cherry tree in front garden at the weekend. Maybe a wren's, its got to be a small bird!.

I saw your post about reflux and hope the new measures are helping. Its horrible when it attacks like that. I just wonder have you got a wedge to ensure your not sleeping low down. Have you a hiatus hernia?. I have and this really helps!. Also, keeping your food as bland as possible will help with the acid production. Mum has one too and has eaten such a bland diet for years.

My parents have their vaccination appt on Weds which feels great for progress and a bit of security. Hope your husband's parents will get their's.

We will get done by mid feb hopefully.

No other news about my toe. I've heard nothing from my surgeon since my 15/12 email. I may chase it but nothing will happen until I've been jabbed and I'm not shielding!. Its a year now, such a long wait!. Good thing we don't know what's coming!.

Do hope you get your tests soon. Keep well and safe. Best wishes. Xx

Hi misty, sorry for not getting back to you, things have been busy here and ive been a bit distracted. I hope you have been ok and that your parents got the vaccine. Im going for an endoscopy tomorrow , i did not expect it to come up so quickly so a bit nervous, hopefully will be a quick in and out . Had to have a covid test on monday and isolate after it .

I feel a bit guilty telling you about it as you have been waiting soo long to hear back from the surgeon.

Take care and stay safe β€οΈπŸ˜€

Good luck tomorrow weathervane. Let me know how you get on. Its good its quick for once, you have tough symptoms. I did ring my surgeon's secretary and im on a list for an appt with him to give me a steroid injection. He agreed which is great news. It may be quite a wait but i might ring appts next week to see if i can book it!.

Fingers tightly crossed 🀞for you. Xx

Hi misty, had endoscopy, it went well , nothing particular of note πŸ™„, taken some biopsys . I think i will just have to be careful about diet and lose a bit of weight 😫. I hope you move up the list quickly for steroid injection, hopefully your call might give them a nudge .

I got clinically extremely vulnerable letter today , think its more for people who work. No word about vaccine, looks like may be some difficulties between EU and NI delivery, hopefully it will be sorted, probably won’t change what im doing even if i get it !!!

Take care and stay safe xxxx

misty14β€’ in reply toweathervane

Hi weathervane, glad your endoscopy went well and was quite normal pending biopsies!. Does look like a very plain diet will help like mum and i do. Its worth it to be well although takes getting used to!.

Im going to ring the appts dept next week and see if i can make this steroid injection appt.

Ive just spoken to my nurse friend who says they're splitting the over 70's into two groups. Them and the over 75's and then its the clinically vulnerable so its going to be a while. They might do it like that for your area. Ive had many friends say they're having theirs and its not been me. Dont want to be forgotten!.

Supply is also a worry so good news tonight they've got two more vaccines approved that will come on stream spring/summer!.

The shielding letter is a bit sobering isnt it?.

Watch out this weekend as i think you'll love my pic.

Keep safe and as well as possible. Xx

svfarmerβ€’ in reply tomisty14

I can have another injection in my knee in Feb so I’ve just got to put up with the pain until then as I can’t take anti inflammatories as I have poor liver function and paracetamol does nothing so roll in Feb πŸ˜‚ Thankyou so much for asking xx

misty14 profile image
misty14β€’ in reply tosvfarmer

Im glad svfarmer you can have a steroid injection in your knee. Does the pain wake you at night?. Its extra tough waiting for help and i always find the time goes super slow!. Hope your appt is early feb!.

Your on mtx aren't you?. Im finding my liver function isnt good on the drug and its checked monthly. Its my Alt reading specially!. Is it yours?.

Is it because of the mtx or have you always had a problem?.

I hope your fiance liked Bea and mira's portrait. Keep safe Xx

svfarmer profile image
svfarmerβ€’ in reply tomisty14

Thankyou my fiancΓ© loved the portrait of Bea and Mira. Yes the pain does wake me at night sometimes, a couple of weeks ago it was agony just sitting on the toilet and getting back upπŸ˜‚ my liver function was poor even before I was on methx - about 8 years ago before lupus I was very ill - turns out I had Conns syndrome which is very rare, I had a benign tumour on my adrenal gland so I had my adrenal gland removed and ever since then my liver function has been poor don’t know if it’s a coincidence or not but yes am looking forward to Feb - hope you are doing ok and I look forward to your next cute picture xxx

misty14β€’ in reply tosvfarmer

I'm so pleased svfarmer that the portrait went down so well. You've had it tough with your health and sorry you developed lupus after your adrenal gland removal. I'm in a lot of pain myself waiting for a foot op so I know how tough it is thanks for asking. Losing sleep is the worst!. Keep safe and dry in this wet week of ours and i'll look forward to Mira monthly. Hope she's behaving. Xx

svfarmer profile image
svfarmerβ€’ in reply tomisty14

I do hope you get your foot operation soon - Mira is being a very good girl lately πŸ˜‚ not like her at all πŸ˜‚ I can never be cross at her because she just melts my heart and is so loyal and affectionate. Keep safe too and have a good week xx
