Black toe nails

Past year I've had black patches under both big toe nails and also my index finger nails in the middle bruise looking

Not fungle infections ( doctor did a sample ) but that was it also doesn't hurt and they are not from trauma but they just dont go I'm abit worried as it's been well over a year now has anyone experienced anything like this ( will try to speak to another doctor)

Are the in liner lines? Splinter hemorrhage?

Hi Kelly it's not a splinter hemorrhage I did look at that it's a thick long blob is how I can describe it x

Yes I do, on both big toe nails, also faint marks starting on middle finger nails.

My GP thought it was bruising - it's not. I've had them for about three years.

Gave photos to my rheumatologist.

Are you taking Mepacrine by any chance?

Apparently this can turn nails (& roof of mouth) black. x

My gp thought the same then also did samples so wasn't fungal infection and I wasn't asked to go back after I rang for results I'm waiting for a appointment with rheumatology and no not on that medication x

Mine seem a complete mystery to them
