I have now had lupus for 8 years now , it took a long time to get my lupus under control and something that I could manage.. I have recently had a baby and now looking to get life insurance.. up to now I have been declined by every firm I could apply too.. two companies have agreed in principle but once got my medical records from the GP they have declined.. does anybody with lupus have life insurance and if so who is this with and was it a difficult process??
My wife has lupus for 15 years and we too found it difficult to obtain life insurance, we have in the end with legal and general. It was impossible to obtain critical illness cover with them but luckily we got terminal illness cover included free with the policy as there is a need to make a claim on this now.
Maybe consider trying a broker?
It may be slightly more costly with their commission fee but they will do all the leg work for you and then you'll have piece of mind.
Personally I wish some one had made us do it when we were 16 then your set up for life! You never know what's coming around the corner.
Regards
