Can MTX or steriods shrink inflammation in the breast?

I briefly mentioned this in another post as well, but I recently had a mammogram where I had no cysts whatsoever -- I mean, not one. This was odd seeing as I have had painful lumps in my breasts my entire adult life. I have been on MTX and prednisone for only a few months--is it possible these things are why my breasts are now clear of cysts?

I know my daughter has cystic fibroid disease. When she gets put on prednisone it clears them all up. I don’t know what MTX would do to help but it’s possible. There is inflammation there.

Humph, thank you, makes me wonder what will happen when I am completely off the steroids?

Hey there - well I am on both and have been on metho for a year and a half, and Pred off and on in that time too - and still have a marble like cyst (definitely a cyst as I have been fully assessed of late), which has been there for 6yrs now I think. So, no, not in my experience. All the best,D
