I don’t know if this is caused from anxiety, or what? I have a blister that came up on my left foot. It almost looks like a blood blister? The surgery for cancer is Monday, and the time has been changed from 10:30 to 7:00 Monday morning.
Yep. Skin rashes/blister like this, is why I can’t and have not worn shoes and had to be barefoot 100% of the time for over 3 years!

Your feet look very dry. I find any problems with the feet are frustrating. I did a post some time ago re dry skin. Many people referred to Urea cream. Never heard of it before.
Then someone I know had the worst dry hands ever and they had managed to reverse it , by using urea cream!
Does it go scaly if you don’t moisturise? I have one arm that’s gone like snake skin. Sorry if I offended you in anyway with saying your feet look dry x
Oh no you did not offend me in anyway! I’m sorry if I made you feel that way!♥️
With what we go through and have to do with Lupus, and some of the exams we go through, hard to get offended anymore! It looks like I have pink nail polish, it is actually a nail treatment, to literally keep my nails from coming off. So a guy with pink nail polish, yes, I have to explain that quite often!
No, my skin doesn’t get scaly, if I don’t keep the coconut oil on it gets flaky, feels tight. Not just my feet but all of my skin on my entire body.
Well I do try to keep my nails and feet as clean and as neat as possible, especially since I have to go and do everything barefoot! Unruly nails are ugly!😂
Hey Tiras - I had something like that on my wrist last year... but no reason for it. I have something similar to yours right now on my hand but I know why it was - it was trying to do a little gardening and my skin couldn;t take the repetition of the action I was doing.. and went into a blood blister. I take it youve not rubbed your foot on anything? Maybe in the night? Does it hurt? I hope not. I guess you coudl show them on Monday as theyll need to know just in case its something important. So sorry youre going through all this (as you know). By the way - Im the Urea user - or one of them! I use Eucerin all over (the 12% urea lotion) and you can also get stronger stuff for your feet and really bad areas of thicker dry skin. My skin flakes and cracks allover without it so I cant recommend it highly enough. Oil isn;t enough for me.. so it could be a good thing for you to try.. although I know cocunut oil is excellent.. and smells great. Hope that helped a little. Will be thinking of you on Monday... All the very best to you Tiras!
Would you believe it is getting larger! It is growing! Unfortunately, I’ve had this happen before, more than once. However, it has happened twice on my right foot, first time on my left foot. The other times they got so large, I had to go to the dermatologist and they had to lance them. The whole top of my right foot was what looked like a solid blister! So I’m afraid this one is going to do the same thing. My dermatologist has told me that I am not to burst them! It is not tight and full like a burn blister, hard to explain what it is actually like?
Thank you for the prayers and thoughts for Monday surgery!😊♥️
Oh Tiras - so sorry.. you dont need this right now to say the least eh. I hope it calms down.. but you know your bod and what it will do.. Sending you warm wishes and all the best for whats to come. Ill be thinking of you x
Laura and my son are doing dinner for me tonight, steak and all the trimmings. Won’t be able to eat solid food after midnight tonight until sometime next week?! Clear liquids only tomorrow, and clear liquids a few days after surgery.
I’ve not been so active but I remember your posts (re:barefoot) when you first joined the forum. So sorry to see that you are having this blister and to hear of your upcoming surgery! Some times it seems if we manage one issue, another rears in its place, or even worse, that problems keep coming one right on top of another! You’ll be in my prayers—for a smooth surgery and full healing 🙏
Oh, Tiras! So sorry you have to deal with this foot blister in addition to your upcoming surgery. Sigh. I must say, you have more restraint than I possess as I would not be able to resist lancing it myself to release the contents!
Sending you good vibes and best wishes for a successful surgery and speedy recovery!
Dear Tiras- I will be saying a prayer and thinking of you Monday morning. I have seen those kind of blisters before and I have much smaller ones on me that come and go. A great cream is Flexitol for the feet. It has Urea in it and a chemist recommended I use it. Very very best of luck - feel surrounded by our loving thoughts on Monday. Cas
Yes, unfortunately, this is not the first time a blister like this has come up. I have had several in the past. Most of the time they don’t grow. This one is, I have had 3 or 4 in the past that grew, they were on my right foot, now this one is on my left foot. I have a cream that my dermatologist gave me to keep when these happen, however, if they decide to grow, we have found nothing that will stop the growing or spreading what ever term can be used?
I don’t know about the blister like growth. However, I will be praying and sending you all my best wishes for a successful surgery and recovery. Get back to us as soon as you can and let us know how you’re doing. Miracles do happen 🦋
