As you can see in the photo, i have places on my arm now. it is not just the skin on my feet I have an issue with! It is the skin on my entire body. My skin has gotten so bad, that just to barely bum it even on a round surface, doesn’t have to be a sharp edge, my skin will just roll up, and or peel off. It is to the point I have to wear soft flexible clothing (leggings) to protect my skin, especially if I wear jeans. Jeans will literally wear the skin off everywhere they touch, with out a protective layer.

Well, 3 weeks ago I was diagnosed with cancer. It is contained to 30% of the prostate. Doctors are 95% sure they can get all of the cancer with surgery?

Oh, Tiras. This must be so difficult to constantly deal with. 😞

Question: do you take any supplements for skin health? I’m just tossing around thoughts here. Your skin is losing its strength from within (I’m guessing) so perhaps you have some nutritional deficiencies? Thinking collagen, vitamin A, vitamin E, Zinc, Selenium , vitamin C. There could be more.

I know you are treating your skin from the outside with the help of your dermatologist. Just wonder if you are also treating things from within. Us lupus patients often suffer from poor nutrient absorption so various deficiencies can arise despite eating a healthy lifestyle.

Just a thought. Hang in there! 😊

All blood work comes back ok, except potassium and calcium are sometimes low. Other than that everything is ok?

There’s a difference between ok and optimum. 😊 “Standard Ranges” sometimes just don’t work for those of us that are chronically ill. Also, what’s rolling around in the blood can be vastly different from what is getting into the system on a cellular level. Last spring I did some functional medicine tests and found deficiencies not seen on standard blood results. I also found out I do have gut absorption issues so I’m working on correcting that so that I can actually absorb the nutrients I’m taking in.

I am by no means an expert in skin conditions so it would take some research on your part to see if there are any nutritional needs that need addressing. I just hate to see your skin wasting away if there’s something that can be done about it!

I just realized as I was making my lunch smoothie that I take a Collagen Protein supplement that you may want to try. It’s a powder that you mix into a beverage of your choice. Besides protein, it has whole bunch of amino acids.

You can read all about it here:

- Supports a healthy gut lining and normal intestinal permeability

- Promotes vibrant hair, skin, and nails

- Helps maintain healthy bones and joints

Ordering directly from Amy Myers is sometimes less expensive so do compare pricing. She’s the only supplier so even when you order from amazon it untimely comes from her. Good luck! ❤️
