Try coconut oil. I use this after every shower. I do not towel dry. I apply the coconut oil over my entire body from neck down to toes, I also do my face. I then let my body air dry for at least 30 minutes, more if I can before I put on any clothing. My dermatologist Told me to try this. I've been doing it for 2 plus years.

Hi, it is maddening when this happens. It may be worthwhile getting your liver and kidney function checked. Itchy skin could be an indicator something not quite right. I hope it isn't for your sake. It could also be one of the things that these illnesses throw at us. X
I find Piriton (OTC) helps a bit and I've had some relief from taking Methyl B12 and Lirothyronine (T3) for my hypothyroidism. My scalp has stopped itching madly at least. I couldn't tolerate Hydroxichloraquine finally - it gave me hives and angioderma.
Hydroxychloroquine made me itch a lot so I took Piriton which helped enormously. However, after a while the doc changed my medication and it all stopped.
Hi carollesley ,
We did an article a few years ago which compiled people's tips for itchy rashes. Hopefully you will find some helpful advice there - healthunlocked.com/lupusuk/...

Hello. I can sympathize with this completely. I can itch for Britain. I drive my husband nuts with it. I have tried various things. I have allergies etc. So I take 2 anti-histamine a day for hayfever and to help me stop itching. I have also tried various creams, including E45 and Cetraben. Cetraben does not stop my itching. I have also tried Aloe Vera and coconut oil. My most recent moisturiser of choice is AVEENO. Sfter every shower and in between if needed. The blue one. It is quite expensive but I haven't itched my legs etc at night, in bed, or during the day since using it. I know you will give everything a go until you find something that works for you. Good luck.
I have had that problem since 2002 when I visited India. I was advices an anti fungal powder... It's like gold bond here & try aloe Vera cooling gel or cream... Walgreens
Is it only in hot climate or all round the year..? For me it's change of cold to hot/sultry weather. I also have been diagnosed with SLE recently...
Hope this helps! 👍
Cut out dairy! I use to itch a lot. Went dairy free, and symptoms relieved. Or take digestive enzyme to break down lactose, gluten, etc...
thanks every one for your advice will try a few of the things recommended
I have been prescribed Dermacool Cream 5% the highest and it burns the itch for a while then I start itching again I also tried my Deep Relief Gel Ibuprofen and Levomenthol which is for my pain on my body but one day I used it on my head when it was itching so much I could not stand it and when I put this particular cream on my head it worked but the Dermatologist told me not to do that.
