Not been well since October last year. Been in one flare after another . Consultant won't gI've me depot steroid injection until he has my echo scan back. The flare has literally travelled around my body last month my bladder was under attack . This month it is my stomach. It is burning, on fire and painful . It wakes me up through the night for hours . I take charcoal, mebeverine, rinitidene, gaviscon, peppermint nothing is working and I am desperate my whole body hurting . When I go to the toilet jelly is coming away from me . I don't want to go see my GP as last time I got told after going to the toilet 63 times on average a night that it is anxiety . Then the Rhumy nurse said it may be sjorgens. Does any one else get this ? I feel so alone .x

That actually sounds as if you have a bacterial infection of 'bad bacteria' in your stomach, something I had for months at one time in my 20s and it was agony! May I make a suggestion you try a) speaking to a different GP who isn't so bl**dy dismissive (I know, sometimes a difficult ask and b) stop taking all the stuff you're taking and give your bowels a rest, and gently try some acidophilus or something to try and slowly introduce some good intestinal flora back into your system if my suspicions are correct. Keep hydrated and please do try to get in to see someone - if it is the bacterial issue it's no joke and the stress and pain alone can be a serious problem.

I wish you health!

Yes, I would strongly support what Silvergilt says - make an appointment to see a different GP. If you have a single-handed practice, then I'd suggest changing to another, as you have such little confidence in your present GP.

I am basically in the same position, live alone and have tp deal with all these issues myself. Last time I had some problems I had to drive myself to the emergency room, glad I made it in one piece, it really sucks not having someone to help get through this, but it actually makes you stronger. In a way it can actually be better because many times people do not come through for you anyway, this way you know ahead of time. You always have people like us to chat with, we are all going through the same health issues and can relate better than friends and even relatives that really do now know how it feels to have these problems, so they cannot really give you good advice, but we have been there and done it already. Anytime you have an issue just come here and someone will be available to advise you. If you want you can PM me at any time. Hope this makes you feel a bit better about things.
