Fed up !!
Hi Angela,
I have all that bar night sweats, mine started with pain under my arm shoulder breast , I’ve put this down to craft work , thought it was a good idea to make paper beads it got addictive , I found I tense myself up ,my thumbs don’t cooperate , then again my body objects to anything interesting, Best go to the doctor 👨⚕️ And I best do the same 😘😘
I get all you describe including night sweats (new for me)- also fed up with unwellness - in my case a cold virus in mid January was the catalyst. I think once our immune systems go into overdrive for any reason eg bereavement, viruses or bacterial infections, then it takes a long time for those with autoimmune diseases to get any remittance.
Hi abgelamarston1963 sorry to read of your pain unfortunately can't be helped other than resting and taking meds. I too have the ribcage pain a recent thing happened about 3 months ago had x-ray inflammation docs gave a name for it so it's another one to add to list nothing they can give other than pain killers.
Ive started to have turmeric simmered in hot milk at night that helps to take away any flare ups that are about to start and helps with sleep. The other thing is taking your meds in daytime rather than night time which I also find helps I used to take my meds at night.
It is very important to read up about turmeric before taking I'm not on any other meds apart from hydroxy and amitripline which is why I can have it. Ppl on blood thinners or diabetics have to speak with GP before taking.
Hope you feel better soon rest up 😊 xx
Thank you for your advice . Unfortunately I’m on warafrin so tumeric is a no no for me .
I am on blood thinners and as Tumeric is not easily digested, instead of taking the capsules I just use the Tumeric we have in the kitchen (Schwartz), just quarter of a teaspoonful, with black pepper and Manuka honey. It's the only thing that seems to help me. I would not suggest that others do the same. I wanted to take the capsules, but cannot because they are made to infiltrate our system better than raw Tumeric which I take.
Hi Angelamarston1963,
I am sorry to hear that you have been poorly over the last few days, have you discussed your symptoms with your GP or rheumatologist?
Around 90% to 95% of people with lupus will experience muscle/joint aches and pains. However, not all joint and muscle pain is due to the inflammation of lupus. About 20% of all people who have lupus will develop a condition called fibromyalgia. Symptoms of fibromyalgia include: tenderness of the muscles, bones and skin and having pain “all over”.
