Hello Sara...this is a very severe reaction...am feeling concerned about you. Wish I could come round and spend the day helping you & the baby out. Am hoping the morphine helps...did your Drs warn you there might be such a powerful reaction? Will you let them know today? I would at least put a message through.
I've been told that a strong reaction to vaccination can be an indication that your immune system is responding positively by making the intended antibodies. Eg i had no reaction after my vacc & then immunology discovered I have no pneumonia antibodies ...and by trial & error, we've found I'm unable to make any pneumonia antibodies in response to every version of the pneumonia vaccine. am on daily antibiotics indefinitely because this + chronically below range immunoglobulins & lymphocytes make me at high risk of respiratory infection. No way would I wish to feel as poorly as you're describing, but I was somewhat disappointed not to have some sort of reaction to these vaccines 😏 So, I'll be interested how others reply on this subject
Well this is pretty much how I feel after the flu vaccine every year for a couple of days. Except when I've been pregnant, I seem to be quite well in all respects then!
My joints aren't great at the moment anyway as had to stop azathioprine as it damaged my liver. This is back to normal now so rheum wants to try me again with it.
Hopefully a rest (well how much u can rest with 2 small kids!) with help, fingers crossed.
And Yes, we seem to split either way: bad vacc reactions, or hardly any.
I stopped having the flu vacc for a few years after a flu jab coincided with medics discovering bone infection (osteomyelitis) in my upper jaw associated with sinusitis....at the time there were question marks over my history of high rate of infections generally. But, after 2 years of immunology investigations, I feel the NHS understands my vulnerability better, so am back in annual flu jabs....so far no reaction other than a week or so of slight upper arm ache: lucky me 🤗
