Jusy wanted to know if anyone has ever ended up with a hip fracture due to lupus
I've had my second infusion of ritixameb and the pain started straight after which turned out to be a hip fracture. I don't remember falling and just wanted to know if there was a link with lupus
Thanks

People with lupus can be at an increased risk of osteoporosis, as a result of their condition and also (more commonly) because of long-term use of high dose steroids. Osteoporosis can significantly increase your risk of fractures.
Hi , have you been on long term steroids for your lupus ? If so you may have osteoporosis, I have had lupus 14 years and been on permanent steroids and now have osteoporosis, I would ask for another dexa scan if I were you if it's been a while since you had one you may need medication to help other than adcal .
