Goose Bumps: Hi all just wondering if anyone gets... - LUPUS UK
Goose Bumps
Yes I too have been experiencing this and thought it was weird my skin especially on my legs hurt so bad!... I was diagnosed with raynaud's 2 yrs ago but sometimes I wonder if I have something else with it. But the goose bumps with pain is a more recent thing for me.
Do you feel this is a Lupus effect Shari_bags?
The ana results came back negative about 3months ago but sometimes I feel like it still could be just with all the things I have experienced throughout the past 5yrs and still am it just makes sense. I want to enquire about seeing a rheumatologist my mom had lupus and I heard it can be linked to genetics.
Do you have raynaud's?
I was diagnosed with Discoid Lupus by skin biopsy from my cheek in 94, then for 10 yrs ANA results were positive on the 11 th year it was negative, so my GP said I didn't have Lupus. Fast forward 10 years I had all over hives the docs couldn't diagnose they said it was chronic urticaria that lasted 1.5 years. Fast forward another 10 years and I'm diagnosed with Lichen Planus again with skin biopsy and lesions in my mouth. Six months ago I'm told I have RA and Lupus with an anti CCP over 1000 and I've always had Lupus and all the issues I have encountered are results of Lupus. I don't have blue extremities but I do have numbness. So I'm not sure if I have raynauds or not. Fun times!!
I know how you feel lupus is just so damn tricky, too many illnesses it mimics. That is a pretty high number!.... and that is really weird that the ana would show negative after being positive for so long maybe it could be that you were in remission? I wonder if that is how it works... I have broken out in hives as well this was right after having my son it was so weird because my skin felt so itchy and where ever I itched it broke out in hives my doctor thought nothing of it just told me to take benadryl it helped after about 4days of use but it was terrible I could not stop the itching this was 4yrs ago now. I have never broken out like that since. But I did notice when I would exercise in winter especially running on a treadmill my legs were extremely itchy and throbbing. I would stop running this is at a public gym go to the washroom itch my legs and apply some lotion to sooth them lol I find this to be weird I don't understand it! I think that is interesting that they do skin biopsy I never thought of that. I also get mouth lesion it sucks!
My mom had discoid lupus from what I just read. I remember her having scabs all over her head she ended up losing all of her hair and she had ulcers all along her legs she was in so much pain.
