Only 5 GCSE exams left finish on the 17th then results on the 25th August . Can't wait to be done with school and move on to work !

Wow it seems such a long time ago that I was in the same position as you.Well in fact it was a long time ago over 40 years to be exact.

It's the waiting for the results that seem to take forever,but as soon as you have finished them just forget about them and enjoy yourself in the interim.

I am sure you have given your very best at the exams, and I wish you well in your results.Hope you get the results you want and deserve.

Any ideas on what you would like to do as your career or are you still deciding?

I have got an apprenticeship for September as a teacher assistant in a school for disable children. I would like to work as a teaching assistant for a bit. I've always wanted to be an elderly carer. I looked after my nan when she was dieing and I get on really well with the elderly . My Aunty is a carer but you have to be able to drive . So want to work as a teaching assistant until I can drive 😀

Well done you on your apprenticeship as a teacher assistant.That sounds exciting,and you have obviously given other opportunities consideration..After having a disabled nephew I also thought about working with disabled children but I can barely look after myself now let alone anyone else.

So I ended up being an assistant bank manager- not really the same but it keeps me out of mischief.

So very best of luck to you whichever you decide upon.

I think what you go through with this illness will give you great compassion and empathy for others who also face struggles in life, be it disabled or elderly etc etc. And that means there will be people who won't face indignity, abuse, loneliness and so on. Gr at choice of careers.
