He should be able to claim both DLA and ESA but I think he will have to produce his books to show he has paid tax/ni - the hoops you have to jump through are even more intricate for self employed people.

not sure what esa is hes applied for dla been told got to wait 8 weeks for descion in the meantime bills and mortgage are mounting up what about working tax credits would hip replacements count as a disability, i cant pay everything hes paid his tax and NI. and completed tax self assessment online, there are so many hoops just to get some help and when you ask questions you dont always get the truth
