I know know that on every time there is strong wind I am never going out of the house. We have 6 ft gates & I was closing them, when a strong gust of wind blew it out of my hand & knocked me on the ground. I have broken my wrist & feeling battered & bruised. Now moan over

Feel sorry for my self
Arrh...very sorry to hear that. Hope you feel better soon. Take care.
What a horrible thing to happen! I do hope it heals up and you've got some help in the meantime. All my sympathies.
Are you from the wet & damp location (e.g. North of England)? I spent a few days in "down south" which cheered me up greatly (not damp, mild weather). I realise that living on the hills is generally a bad idea..(windy weather condition-wise). Moan away
I live a few miles from the coast in the North East, so we get a lot of bad weather from the North Sea.
I went to fracture clinic today & they put my hand & arm in plaster. When they told me the colours, I couldn't resist choosing bright pink.
The doctor said that ladies particularly my age
Never usually break their Scaphoid, but I am the exception, lucky me.
Cal66..Ouch..!! Scaphoid sounds so painful.. Luckily, I only broke my umbrella the other day. Oh, I can so imagine how so windy living in the North East is like (yes, the freezing air/gales from the North Sea!!) Wishing you the swiftest recovery. Excellent colour choice. Have a pleasant Sunday.
Thank you & I won't be going out of the house this week since there is another storm on the way.
Pink? Why, you will be the belle of the ball! Hope you don't mind the joke. When I take my greyhound out the wind makes him skittery and it must be funny to see a skinny lady being dragged along. Then a huge gust caught me from behind and if he had chosen that moment to race for a McDonald's wrapper I think a new sport would have been invented in Yorkshire.
Seriously, do take care, get that frock on, and have fun!
Like you we had a strong dog, If you didn't hold onto him, then he would escape & run away, he was Siberian Husky (big white & fluffy). It sounds like your dog likes McDonalds & thinks of his tummy a lot, you have to have a lot of energy & strength to take him out.
I am in plaster for 4 weeks & due to get it off the same days as the ball, so will have to arrange for it to come off either the day before a week after it.
I am more worried in case my dress doesn't arrive in time, if not I will have to buy another from some where else.
You will have to try doing dog Physchology on him & tell him who's the boss.
Good night
