Hope the itching and your eyes settle down asap!! Prednisone usually works quite quickly, let's hope so, enough at least for you to get some sleep xx

I didn’t think prednisone would work because antihistamines didn’t! This is not an allergy! I’m going crazy! I aware the itching getting worse! Hopefully it goes away soon Guess just wait for bloodwork!

Prednisone is a glucocorticoid medication mostly used to suppress the immune system and decrease inflammation in conditions such as asthma, COPD, and rheumatologic diseases, doesn't work the same as an antihistamine.

Deb, if it's getting worse, you must go back, don't suffer this on your own.

Are there any other symptoms?

No rash just have a small ringworm from my prosthetic leg! I am mostly allergic to my leg stuff so it comes often! It’s a fungus and goes away with cream

Are your eyes improving? You've probably got rash from scratching too.

How long has this been going on?

Have you started any new meds or creams, washing powder etc? I'm sure you've asked yourself these questions, sorry.

Have you tried a tepid shower?

They told me to bathe in cool water but so cold here I can’t imagine it! My eyes same and very itchy! I guess I must be patient and wait for bloodwork! I was hoping for a miracle with prednisone, but no such luck! It’s very hard for me to shower cuz of prosthetic leg! I have a chair, but very unsteady as I have a small old tub! Lol... I sit in tub to bathe and have hand held shower! I stopped scratching cuz it fruitless! It just gets worse when I scratch! Only scratch when I can’t help it! I just wonder if Sjogrens can cause this and maybe I’m just in a flare again! Hopefully that’s it and I’ll just keep on Truckin’

No nothing works, but I’ll just keep on trying to find any remedy! This is so very uncomfortable! I can’t scratch it cuz it don’t help and I’m just tearing my skin up! Lol... it itches so bad it’s like a burn

Cold aloe vera gel may help, (topically), it does for me. However if no change or it worsens do go back to the GP or consultant. MaryF

Oh yes I keep cold aloe in fridge! Thx good idea! It seems I get over one thing and then flare up in another! When does it stop! I must get to some warmer weather!

Deb, I would take Veganworld’s advice and try just eating rice and decaf tea Igor a day or two and give your liver a rest. I am so sorry you are experiencing this and right at Christmas. God bless you!

Yes sounds good Throuhout my life I’ve been on too many medications and think it’s taking its toll on me! I just want to stop all meds and give it to God! All these meds and stuf go thru the liver and who knows what damage they do! Thank you and I’m pretty tough! My poor hubby in Nursing home with Alzheimer’s and my son Keith With a form of mental Retardation called Williams Syndrome! He’s actually my stepson, but have him for 40 years and he’s mine! He too is age 63 and there is no data on his age because he’s lived past his life span, but he too is failing! I just need to be around for them to make sure they’re ok! It’s hard but life throws us some curves and we just must keep fighting! Some days I say when does it stop! We all have our troubles and I just give it to God when I don’t know what to do! Today is my pity party, tomorrow I’ll be up and about to fight it off! God Bless Y’all at this time and stay strong and healthy...
