Hallo everybody, I took both Pneumonia and Flu-jabs.

Do you know if the INR has a tendence to go up or down after them. I took them at the same time.

Thank you for your answer!

Hi seeing as people seem to have their INR going up and down after, antibiotics, virus or similar, it would not surprise me at all to hear of it doing this with the jabs you have had! I am sure others on here will have had similar. My doctor will not let me have jabs as quite rightly he can see perfectly well how I react to medications in general. MaryF

Yes, I guess it is difficult to tell up or down. I took a chance if there was a tendency.

Thank you Mary.

I can now answer my own question:

I have now taken both shots and my INR has behaved as usual. BUT we are all DIFFERENT.

Never noticed any changes and I have had the flu every year since it was introduced in the UK. I have the Pneumonia every 5 years

I have not taken the flu injections as I thought I would be taken ill because of it.

As I have Pulmonary Hypertension and leaking heartvalves my cardiologist thought I should take both the Flu and also against Pneumonia this year. That is why I did not know how it would affect me.

We are all different but there are rules for special drugs and other things so ......

So you are like me perhaps .....

You are a little bit like me it seams. Could I ask what anticoagulation are you on and if warfarin what therapeutic range? Do you have Lupus Anticoagulant?

I have been on Warfarin since 1992.

I have a range of 2.5 - 3.5, 3.0 ideal but I am on 5.5mg daily and only in 2.3 at the moment.

My sister has Lupus and I have been tested for Andison Farby but found to be clear.

Thank you for answering me!

I have learnt that when you have lung/heartproblems you should not go too low in INR. I have never heard of Andison Farby. Hope you have a good APS-doctor. As you could see my selftesting is not accurate. It differ sometimes but I do not think it is so important only you try to be in the right level as much as possible. I have had no bleeding what so ever.

Best wishes to you. Hope to keep in contact with you. Take care.
