Are potatoes, corn, beans, and green peas good for one’s daily vegetable quota or are they starched?

Potatoes don't count towards your 5-a-day. Corn is a grain, but can count. Beans and green peas are legumes but also can count.

I'd probably aim for 5 fruits or obvious veggies like broccoli and peppers, and have the above as bonus veggies.
