Your seeds are, if courgettes (zucchini), both things Bluelady-sing. That's because as a member of the squash family, the courgette flowers, and these flowers when fully opened are often removed and dipped in batter and fried, whilst leaving behind the courgette to enjoy later.

Yum, yum
They are courgettes, I grow the round ones, good for stuffing. I was advised not to save seed because sometimes they can produce toxic fruit because they don't always grow true.
Wow, these look great, when should I sow them, the packet gives no real instruction
