Hi everyone, here's what I made for dinner tonight, its a curry with wild brown and red rice, the curry is Borlotti beans with various veg and a tin of chopped tomatoes with curry spices and chilli, so nice and easy.
Borlotti beans contain 10% protein and other nutrients including magnesium and iron, so they pack a nice nutritional punch. They are also called Cranberry beans because of their colour. 😊
What I like about a curry is you just leave it cooking gently away until it's ready then just serve it and eat it.
You’re welcome! I like cranberries, so if they taste and look like them, too, I know they will be great in the next curry I want to do for dinner in the next few days.😀👍
Hi Jerry, thinking about you this afternoon. Just checking our Borlotti Beans and thinking they are ready for picking. Some of them will go in our Chunky Chilli tomorrow.
Hey thanks Imaaan they’re also called French beans and Roman beans so you may have come across them under another guise, they’re cream coloured with cranberry marbling and they’re really healthy as well. 😊
Looking forward to it. Makes a change from regular chilli and I use Lean cubed beef instead of mince. Make it as spicy as you like with the addition of chillies to taste. We have had a bumper bundle of chillies this year, several bags in freezer but lots given away.
Your curry looks really great. I didn't realise that borlotti beans were also called 'cranberry' beans due to their colour. I like beans of any sort, they are nutritious and delicious. Yum!
