Green lentil casserole. ๐Ÿฅ˜

Hi everyone, hereโ€™s what I had for dinner tonight itโ€™s green lentils new potatoes baby carrots mixed peppers red onions with ginger black pepper and a little chilli, I mixed a gravy with rice flour cold water mixed to a paste added the spices with a little yeast extract and more water and baked in the oven.

I love baked food like this as itโ€™s easy and tasty. Stay safe and well now folks. ๐Ÿ˜Š

That looks lovely my mam made a similar one in her slow cooker but she kept taking the lid off and saying nothings happening lol I said it's a slow cooker she said it's to boring like watching paint dry lol she took it back to shop, the legumes she's so trying to eat as I mentioned reduce inflammation which helps stop cholesterol and vein blocks and lots of things it tasted lovely I made a dumpling out of flour and cold pressed rapeseed oil I just guessed put it in microwave and it was lovely I used to be a cook and have a qualification in nutrician and healthy eating and read many books which I love more than internet education, sorry I just realised no commas in my message hence another babble, I am a very healthy eater and hope to help people on here as some really don't understand and it's damaging there health, I'll put some meals on tomorror ๐ŸŒŸ

Bit of a dumb question: is there any difference in the different coloured lentils. Taste ?-wise or nutritionally?

I eat tomatoโ€™s , red peppers , lentil, beans and other and whole grains and seeds, but I am concerned now after reading about lectins and gut leaks and tears, could you clarify please Jerry.?

Hello Tudee I think that you are concerned with anti nutrients and with all veg and pulses itโ€™s how we prepare them so they are nutritious.

Anti nutrients are plants natural defence mechanism hence soaking preparing and cooking properly.

Hello Tudee washing soaking and cooking neutralises most anti nutrients, so I think that you have too eat a lot of raw food.
