So, yesterday I fasted 24 hours again. I am really loving these long fasts. I can tell that my stomach is shrinking, because I honestly never feel hungry, but that could be because I cut out sugars and carbs, however, yesterday I was trying to fast and was having weird cravings, because the day before I did have carbs and sugar (was my bosses birthday and yeah, you know how that goes). So, while I only ate one small piece of cake, and a small amount of pizza, I still had carbs and my body still went from having low blood sugars to higher blood sugars and I was still feeling like I really had to work to get those sugar cravings to go away. It's really interesting how sugar affects me now and how it causes withdrawals. Anyways, so I stuck to it all day yesterday, fasted, had just water all day (not even coffee or tea) and went for a hike.
For dinner, I'm happy to report my dinner was fairly healthy. That is if you consider lots of cheese healthy. Here's what I had:
1 chicken breast (rotisserie style)
1 large zucchini steamed with cheddar cheese melted over it
1 cup of quinoa with red & green bell peppers, garlic and olive oil
Fresh lemon to squeeze over it, and Fenedeni sauce (soy, vinegar, lemon, onion, thai chili peppers) to dip the chicken into.
To drink: Lots of water
I think I ate a little bit too much Zucchini with cheese, but yum yum yum!
I didn't have any dessert, I was beat, I just wanted a nice hot bath to soak my muscles and a good sleep.
Fasting for 24 hours again today. This means, only eating dinner again today. I eat at 6pm each day, and wait until 6pm to eat again. Each time I do this, I desire more and more healthy foods, I don't desire anything but fresh and home made. Tonight I'm craving fish, with lemon and olive oil and steamed veggies.
No hike for me today. Just going for a 30 minute walk around the campus where I work and many are uphill streets. Sun Sun Sun! I'm doing only a 30 minute lunch today. But after work I want to go to the beach. I really desire to walk barefoot on the beach. Yes yes yes!
