When you use liquid egg(s) for quiches, scrambled eggs, omelets, etc., they have less to 0 cholesterol in them, so they don't have actual yolk. We get these because my mom has to watch her cholesterol, too. Hope this helps.
It's difficult for me when it comes to eggs Leah, I have to watch my cholesterol yet my GP advises me to eat egg yolk because of vit D deficiency π€·ββοΈ
We eat both types of salmon when it's possible. We've been getting the canned salmon more since the store by use has more of that then the fresh/whole pieces. I will have to see what the can says the next time we have it either for lunch or mixed into a big salad.
I eat wild salmon that is canned and fresh as well but never looked at the packaging to see if there were any vit D level discrepancies btwn them. I'll have a look next time as well
It also may be different when it comes to brands. One brand for a certain thing isn't the same for another brand, but same item. They do this also with protein and carbs..
Hi marylin you can take d supplement my mam's memory isn't good I said you need well balanced diet and yolk is one that's good for brain some food have cholestrol in them but it doesn't actual give us it so I read and there's good n bad fats like avacado has 2.5 in but good fats h d l good cholestrol lower bad cholestrol, avoid lamb and your fried bread you mentioned lol we cook in cold pressed rapseed oil it's the only oil doesn't saturate at high temp, mam bakes with it too my chol was 5 then went down to 4.2 I lost half stone in weight just from reading the sat fat on labels like biscuits you can get rich tea with o.3 or a ordinary biscuit like digestive has 1.5 it all adds up my sister's on statins now hers is 6.2 they out her on high dose π€π―πpixies b b q now
Thanks, Hidden . I can't decide which is more my favorite-- spinach or broccoli in a quiche. I guess, I have to wait until Monday to make the decision since I want to see what the leftovers taste like when rewarmed up with broccoli. I'm hoping it'll be either a tie or a surprise. Will let everyone know soon.
There's something so yummy about a cheese and broccoli combination Leah. and This looks so good and I'm sure it tasted amazing!
Thank you, springcross for saying this. I can't wait to see how the leftovers taste on Monday during lunch. As I had said to Hidden , I'm hoping it'll either be a tie or a nice surprise when the time comes.
