Hi, I follow Drs. T Colin Campbell, Barnard, Ornish, Esselstyn. Watch the Netflix Movie, โForks over Knivesโ. Ive read, โ The China Studyโ, โWholeโ and I going to read, โHow not to Dieโ. You can also go to Youtube and search WFPB doctors and it will give you lots of hits. My favor doctor is Dr. Barnard. Just like the others he has an arms length of credentials and great advice. Dr. Esselstyn is a cardiologist with great advice but somewhat more restrictive recommending no oil, but mostly thats for people with heart problems. Dr. Barnard says very little oil. Dr. Ornish is a well renowned doctor in this field and worth listening to. Good luck.
You'll enjoy "how not to die", its a great book (and there's now a companion recipe book!).
To your book list, I'd add "Proteinaholic" by Garth Davies, which is also great.
Great, thx!
Spot on, Gracy1 & benwl! ๐๐
If you ever get a chance to see Dr. Michael Greger speak, you may not only like what he says but how he says it: drgreger.org/pages/speaking... ๐
If you canโt see him โin personโ, his video ๐น presentations are just as informative ๐ค๐ญ & entertaining ๐ : google.com/search?as_q=Dr.+...
And, of course his website NutritionFacts.org ( nutritionfacts.org/ ) is a reliable reference for so many of us. ๐ ๐

Oops . . . donโt want to forget the sensible Dr. Garth Davis videos ๐น too: google.com/search?as_q=Dr.+...

The meat and dairy industry has huge amount of money to spend on marketing. They sponsor departments at universities across the world. They have very powerful lobbies inside government. The USDA is staffed by meat and dairy industry. Newspapers and tv channels get much of their advertising from meat and dairy. And don't get me started on the EU agriculture policy or the US checkoff program.
We live a life saturated with good messages about saturated fat, incl the infamous time magazine headline "butter is back", based on research that has since been shown to be corrupt.
Hi
You will find this site is also full of a lot of different advice! Possibly the only bit of advice we may all agree on is to avoid highly processed foods and too much sugar.
If you have specific health problems, then you may be looking at some restrictions in your diet. Otherwise perhaps just have a look at all the great recipe ideas on here.
