Gut problem

I've been having gut problems after years of health foods and herbs. I had to go on omeprozole. I've tried going off of it but the reflux is really bad. I'm on Manila honey and Siberian pine nut oil. Cider vinegar makes it worse. Had to go off of turmeric. I think I got this problem from too much Motrin for joint pain. Any advice?

I think with these things it's a question of finding your own personal triggers 😕 Small, easily digested meals, plenty of water and maybe a pro-biotic to help restore balance in your gut. 😊

Good luck

Thanks. I've tried probiotics a while back in the form of Kefir and it got worse. I'll try another kind.

Hi Joey,

I've had this recently after antibiotics, it's horrible! Probiotics are good and I think it's just a case of seeing what foods currently work for you as the other poster said. I feel a lot better when I'm able to eat often as the reflux gets quite burny on an empty stomach, but some days I can't manage a lot and feel a bit choked up. What are your symptoms? I've been reading a lot about the LES muscle and gastritis and long term medication is notorious for causing these issues! Hope we find a way to resolve it soon, feel better:)

I'm only on atenolol for Bp. I take with food. I did probiotics in the form of Kefir and I got worse. I'm going to try small meals throughout the day. I'm stopping herbs and mastic gum helps most of the time. Someone told me hemp oil helps. Thanks.

Hi Joey,

I swapped to a slow release NSAID which stopped the reflux issues.

I find ACV helps, but probotics from kefir & rhizenka are better, I've never tried taking them as pills.

Chris Kressers' website is very helpful:

Mel

ps Keep off processed food, & try to work out what makes your indigestion worse. For me, it's raw onions, milk chocolate, & almost everything processed/ready made foods.

I had loads of gut pain especially under my ribs and massive bloating and was put on omeprazole but I came off dairy completely and my symptoms drastically improved now I don't need the meds but I do get pain if I enjoy dairy foods x
