i also have about 6 stone to lose as i have osteoarthritis and am in a wheelchair i have been excusing my condition for not trying . Last week i bought a smoothie maker and have been having mostly green ones and i have lost 6 lbs so far. I try having them every other day as meal replacements and this seems to work and lower calorie meals on other days.

Every 1 lb helps, keep up the good work
Hi Demezlanan!
Have you tried the weight loss nhs forum here? There are so many people in similar situations as yourself, you may find it helpful.
I joined the forum 4 weeks ago with 9st 7 lb to lose. I've already lost half a stone, through healthy eating and the support of others on the forum.
Have you had a look at the nhs 12 week plan? It's full of good advice for long-term weight loss. It's where I started from.
If you can, try downloading the myfitnesspal app (is free!). This allows you to record everything you eat and any exercise you take. If the device you use has a camera, you can scan barcodes of foods for instant calculations. I doubt if I would have done nearly so well with out the app!
Good luck, and maybe I'll see you on the weight loss forum soon?
Take care!

Please try adding some turmeric, cinnamon and ginger to your smoothies, just a quarter of a spoon full daily... very good for inflammation and pain. keep up with the green smoothies you will certainly feel better over time.
