Trying to loose

Hi, I am trying to loose weight, I started at 13 stone 6 pounds on the 27th of April. And to date I am now 12 stone 1 pound. I am proud at what I have lost thus far. I started couch to 5k a couple of weeks ago and just completed week 2. I have a active manual job (I’m a joiner). At my last weigh in I had managed to put a pound on. Don’t really understand it as I stayed within my calories all week. Could it be due to the chip shop food twice this week even though I stayed within the calorie count? Any advice helpful.

Hi calcon , firtsly welcome to our forum and well done for introducing yourself. Now I wouldn't worry about being 1lb heavier because our weight varies over the day so I think the worse thing that you can do is worry about such a small gain. So just stay motivated and don't become obsessive and you will achieve your goal and in a way that is sustainable for you. 👍

Hi Jerry, thanks for that. I know 1lb is not a lot and that I should not get hung up on that. Also I have done great in loosing what I have already. I just wanted to try and make sense of it. As I said at the start thanks for your feedback, it is encouraging

Could just be water weight. I agree with Jerry, try not to worry.

Hi calcon

Congratulations on your weight loss - you're doing brilliantly! :-) Fantastic also that you're enjoying doing the Couch to 5k.

I find that weight fluctuates quite a bit week to week - I keep a graph of mine, and it definitely shows that. Like Hidden and Bobbi6 said, try not to worry about the minor fluctuations and especially in this heat that we're having, when water weight can impact - with fluid and salt intakes etc etc. So many potential factors really, but it's the overall trend that counts. :-)

Zest :-)
