Energy healing

I am a bit hesitant sharing this because it sounds pretty “out there”. But I have been helped incredibly through energy healing. I never would have believed I’d hear myself say such a thing in the past. But, I have used videos where I can be in my own home and private and even though the energy comes through sound healing and channeled healing, the videos are incredibly powerful. I also appreciate that it is inexpensive. Most sessions are 25$. Also, what is purchased is yours to keep and use as often as you wish. I have been helped by lovelightilluminations.com in ways I never thought imaginable. I won’t go into everything about it, but if there is curiosity out there it is free to go to their site and play a video that explains everything. I hope it’s okay to share this. If not, I apologize and won’t do this kind of thing again.

I haven't heard of this. I'm so glad it works for you.

I love learning new things, there is so much available to us and most of these things I'm learning here from HU members.

I did a quick google search on the subject. I hope you don't mind me sharing that with the group to add more info.

Thank you so much

Thanks for this Dolphin. I know people who swear by Reiki which according to Wikipedia is in the same category of "pseudo scientific" energy healing.

I think it's as well to be aware of this and to be informed.

On the other hand how do we test the scientific value? Especially if few studies have been done.

There is a long tradition of healing especially associated with religions.

If it works it works! The proof is in the pudding.

I've experienced a few "miracles" which maybe can't be explained scientifically. I'm not religious or spiritual but recognise not everything can be explained logically.

I agree it's fascinating learning about these different approaches. That way we have more chance finding something to suit us.

I feel the same, if it works it works.

I'm so grateful we have people coming on sharing what they do. I'm willing to keep trying things to maintain my stability.

Hey Carnelian.

It was a rare occasion for me, being in my local town - to buy a haggis to celebrate the Scottish poet, Robbie Burns this evening. Having tried 3rd time lucky to find haggis, I ended up parked outside the local crystal shop. I love gemstones - having a father who is a geologist. So I love and appreciate your gemstone name, CarnelianAmber. .

...I so very nearly bought a carnelian gem stone this evening for support - yet I opted for something that may support my dog's arthritis. I seem to often end up in this shop when I need that extra little emergency spiritual support when I can't find solace anywhere else.

I hear you and I see that the website you mention is very much about positive and healing experiences, which I am all for. And, you are right - this comes from energy - positive energy :)

I take my collie girl also to red light laser therapy for her arthritis.

We should never underestimate the power of healing in light energy. Just think of the Sun's energy and how this transforms us from a gloomy feeling to a glow.

I also recently took someone's good advice on this forum here, who recommended the CalmCarry gadget, which uses electric pulses as a mild aid to combat anxiety and insomnia.

I myself went to 3 sessions of fork tune energy healing some years ago, when I was at my most profound and low time - and it provided me with a sense of great calm, which I had not been able to find to date. I had tried talking therapy, yet words could not reach where sound alone could speak to my deep-held fear and hurt/pain.

There is then the energy and wholeness, which one can feel with singing (particularly choral music - eg: this year in my mother's Church Christmas carol service choir); and so, I can wholly appreciate and recommend sound energy.

Energy is about waves and vibration...... at the very most basic level. Any scientist can warrant this. Be it heat, light et al - it is energy....

And it can heal, like a hot warming soup or a hot water bottle, or a warm sunny day. Once the atoms have some heat energy, they begin to move and that's when 'connections' start to happen.

It's not really rocket science.... And we shouldn't be afraid to talk about good, positive energy.

As for something like Reiki - yes, I've done this also. Given and received.

A complete stranger was able to sense the chronic knee heat/pain I had from a long time ago. Again - it is a matter of energy waves/pulses/vibrations that are there.

This afternoon, I was sitting beside the Archimedes hydro power mini station in our town alongside the river where I walk. I felt such peace and energy - not just from the noisy mechanical machine beside me, turning water -wave energy into electricity, but also because of the scene: nature... the birds, trees, water - it all had its own energy and it was healing and feeding my soul.

It's a shame we have to feel, in these days and age, still, to justify ourselves and sanity - when it is pure nature/science that is taking place..... feeding our soul.... reaching out to us in energy waves, which our energetic selves senses and absorbs.

My husband and I toasted Bobby Burns tonight. My great grandfather was from Aberdeenshire. I have always related strongest to my Scottish roots.

Have you heard of the book “The body keeps score”? … or a very near title. It is about how we hold experiences within our bodies. My experience has been that the stored experiences can be freed by different means. I experienced it once during yoga. I have greatly experienced it during sound and energy healings. The other part of the “out there” for me was that the owner and founder of lovelightilluminations also connects to an energy infused by Mary, mother of Jesus. Not in a religious way at all. There is no religious part in any way. But Yes, “out there”… It helped me that I knew this person from my childhood/young adult years and she was absolutely not an attention seeking or spotlight seeking kind of person in any way. She was very quiet, very kind, and not showy in any way at all. I thought of her as on the meek side and so gentle. Although I was perplexed by what she shares as her experiences, I could not help but want to hear and learn more. And I must say that what she has offered has been enormously helpful. I didn’t know if I could walk through the last round of assaults from my siblings when my mother died. But the sound and energy healings pulled me through.

Thank you for sharing. I am still learning so much about the ways of energy healing. It is fascinating. It is also so very powerful.

Some people are rather critical of Wikipedia, but for anyone wanting to learn more about a given subject, it can be a very useful investigation starting point, as the source materials for the overview are referenced for further reading. “The body keeps score” by Bessel van der Kolk, is the second Wikipedia reference in its article on Somatic experiencing (SE), which many of our members have found helpful; en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Somat... From Wikipedia, "According to SE, post-traumatic stress symptoms originate from an "overreaction of the innate stress system due to the overwhelming character of the traumatic event. In the traumatic situation, people are unable to complete the initiated psychological and physiological defensive reaction."[35] Standard cognitive behavioral understanding of PTSD and anxiety disorders was grounded in an understanding of fight, flight, or freeze mechanisms in addition to conscious and unconscious, preprogrammed, automatic primal defensive action systems.[36] SE is theorised to work through the "generation of new corrective interoceptive experiences" or the therapeutic ‘renegotiating’ of the traumatic response. Due to this focus, Somatic Experiencing claims it is unique and may be more effective than cognitive-behavioral models.[35]"

I find it helpful to check Amazon or Reddit reviews before borrowing or buying a book. There was a long waiting list for “The body keeps score” in my library, which given it was written over 10 years ago, says something about its ongoing impact.

I wish you well on your healing journey - especially energy healing.

How lovely that your family has Scottish roots!

I was reflecting, only this evening, after watching a lovely film 'That they might face the rising Sun' about how central Mary is in Catholic religion vs Protestant Christianity. Mary was certainly 'ignored' in later day history - and it's interesting to consider the 'loss' of visibility and energy, which might have occurred since, as a result. As a artistic person, I often think about the change of colours, for example: Blue for Mary/feminine energy... Red for Male/santa/masculine. Yet once upon a time, it was apparently the reverse case.

Anyway - I'll add a few gemstones (sulphur, chrysocolla, amethyst and clear and rose quartz, sodalite and aventurine) to my wee girl's bed this evening.

A part of lovelight is the option to use crystals which correspond to different light centers of our body. Crystals change energy frequencies. (They can also intensify the energy healing we are seeking..)They knew this during earlier wars to change the wavelength of messages they were sending. Nothing new. I love Carnelian. For me, the ninth light center which evokes wholeness of self. Also, for me, Citrine which is associated with divine truth and love. There are more. I have known for a very long time that I am much more than this physical body. And my healing needs to go deep.
