Two dogs

I love my dogs. I swore I’d never get a puppy again. My English Bulldog was getting depressed after the passing of her big sister. We went and let her pick out her own dog. That’s right. Our dog got a dog. He’s a big dumb hound full of life. He’s adorable but either I’m not at my best or this is going to be a long learning experience for me. My fatigue and irritation went to the moon! I’m using my coping skills but finally I’m just shut in my room with the older one. I can’t take it. He just wants love and I know he will settle down but I’m going to need to meditate extra long before I start my day tomorrow. What have I allowed to happen in my quiet life? 😳🤷‍♀️

Animals are so precious all they want is our love and they give so much in return.

Thank you for responding. I just need that reminder. I love my animals. I think I was overwhelmed with the puppy. I’ll try today to be quicker with the coping skills. Thank you!

Yep.. same here. I have 12 year old small dog and a giant pup.Having another dog, especially a pup is ALOT of work especially when ur not well physically or mentally.

I love my big guy, but sometimes I wonder would he be better with someone who wasn't in bed all the time and etc. Then.. I look at how happy he is with me.All I have to do is look at him and we both light up.My little dog probably wouldn't agree since he thinks hes the boss of the entire house, lol.

Be patient with yourself... they love us for us..not what we have going on mentally or physically.

I read this in a "Chicken Soup" book: We leave home, are gone about an hour, and come back with some fish, a chicken, maybe even a duck; and the dog is thinking, "You are an amazing hunter!"
