Hello everyone, I am new here. I finally found the courage I needed to join a network for the hard truth I’ve been denying to myself - I need support. Those three words have been a silent cry for help... words only said to myself during trying times with the love of my life, a USMC veteran. While I’m here and looking for guidance to better understand his trauma and PTSD, which I for one believe stems from SO many different moments of his life, I realize I am also here for myself. I believe I am now developing PTSD from the PTSD my significant other endures and sometimes inflicts onto me. For those who know the pain and just want to help carry the weight of the burden for their loved ones - I understand. Looking forward to some encouragement and learnings on how to be everything and more that he needs to get through life, happily.

Hi. I am glad you have joined us. I think you will find support and friendly people here, as I have. I was a bit uncertain about joining, but it has been very positive for me. Don't feel afraid to post anything you want to, just remember that if you post something that has content that could be upsetting to a reader, just put, 'Trigger warning,' the n the title and first line of the post.
Welcome again.

Welcome to our community abrocco,
As I say to every new person here - you've come to the right place.
We're a very diverse, supportive community with a wide range of experiences, but we're all pursuing recovery and support together and helping each other through it. 😊
I'm sorry for what you and your husband are going through and I hope we can help. Thankyou for being here and sharing your story.
Xx
Welcome to the group. I do my best to upload my photos to help people. I am a visual person so I try to share my talents for the visual arts.
